My crazy web3 founder journey... 👇

Many don't know this, but in 2021 I launched my own web3 project.

The concept? 

Take the most popular memes out there and make them into digital pets you could own and take care of. 

We raised a small private round to build an MVP and base community.

With just 2,000 Telegram members we sold out the launchpad round of $250K in one minute.

What followed next?

Three weeks of absolute chaos:

– $550K to $207MM in market cap (375)
– 0 to 75,000 onchain holders
– 0 to 50,000 digital pets sold
– 0 to 55,000 CMC watchlists
– $250K to $30 million in DEX LP
– Hundreds of millions in DEX volume

Going viral and experiencing this pump was the most euphoric period of my life aside from seeing my kids being born.

🤭 My wife still reminds me of the millions in tokens I never sold at this point as I cared about our investors and community.

But, what goes up must come down 😂

Next?

The bear market began to show it's face and decline set in. 

BNB began crashing.

Liquidity dried up.

Our pumped chart was in the worst position it could possibly be.

What followed next was six months of anxiety and stress like I've never had before. 

16-18 hour days with no days off, fighting like crazy with everything else working against me. 

I knew nothing about tokenomics in the beginning of this project (like most all founders).

Buying pressure hides a lot of flaws, and our cracks began to show. 

I had to change our entire token economy while the project was live, which was quite a challenging and expensive transition. 

Nobody likes it when you mess with their rewards, but you can't sit back and let people destroy themselves, either. 

I'll never forget changing the economy over and watching the falling knife that was our chart bounce.

Think your token economy is tight? Try going up 375x in three weeks and see if it breaks 😂

Eventually I left out of frustration and doing literally all of the work.

I'm proud to show my face today because even during the darkest times, I still showed up every day and was present in the community day and night.

I actually formed a business (CONV3RT) with Mike Blutstein, who I met as a community member at my project. 

My perspective isn't based on sitting in the passenger seat watching someone else take risk and acting like their success mine.

It's founded on the highs, the lows, the successes, the failures and 20+ years of experience across every role in business (I'm 43).

Being a web3 founder was the hardest job I ever had in my career.

Up 800% since launch in less than a month - that's Avici!

Why and how? Todays video explores:

– Avici's unique fundraising model (MetaDAO)

Personally, I love how Avici didn't take the full $30MM+ and instead opted to build while taking a much more reasonable market cap. 

This shows the team's alignment and long-term focus, which is essential from a community perspective.

Uniswap releases Continuous Clearing Auction (CCA).

A new price discovery mechanism for token launches.

Think of it as a fair auction where everyone gets the same price. 

No more frontrunning or sandwich attacks.

– Continuous clearing means all bids settle at a single uniform price 
– Automatic bid spreading prevents price manipulation 
– Real-time transparency (everyone sees the same data) 
– Direct migration to V4 pools with liquidity seeding

It's interesting to see more and more ICO tools for projects and tokens focused around retail.

For the past couple years, retail has gotten the especially short end of the stick when it comes to most token launches.

Most anything that went live on a DEX/CEX already had insiders in mass profit mode with retail getting in at the top.

Also, putting together a liquidity pool for your token can be an expense in the hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.

This is why launchpads exist - to help fund LP and CEX listings alongside marketing and community building leading to the launch.

NOTE: This may seed DEX, but projects still have CEX listings in many cases and these costs can be excessive (five, six or seven figures).

On Monday I'll be doing a video deep dive into this, sharing my thoughts on the pros and cons. 

To be frank, most opportunities in our space lately were only good for those on the inside.

This needs to change and retail needs to have an opportunity. 

Else?

The very community supporting the projects will continuously find themselves rinsed.

It's exciting to see the new ways of capital formation.

Once I dig into this a lot more I look forward to sharing an informed opinion!

Uniswap Continuous Clearing Auctions overview!

A new way to launch tokens (5 mins): 👇

One of the biggest challenges many projects face?

How to get their token liquid and into the market.

Uniswap Continuous Clearing Auctions:
1. Projects set sale parameters (tokens, length, min price, etc.)
2. Auction runs for set period of time
3. Bids are spread across the entire auction
4. The final price is settled and v4 pool created
5. Token is now live on the DEX

Without a launchpad, any project can take the launch into their own hands.

Users simply specify "I want to invest 1 ETH at a maximum price of $1/token" and if those parameters are met across the auction their bids get in. 

Price discovery happens naturally.

The challenge?

This could lead to higher prices and market caps on launch, which are negative.

Remember how "Fair Launch" strategies used to be a thing?

What ended up happening is projects sucked all of the liquidity from their communities, launched and had no new liquidity to rise higher.

The same challenge could exist here.

After v4 creation, one must make sure they have new/fresh liquidity for launch.

Else?

New buying volume will be minimal and...

...you'll have buyers who are looking to flip the presale.

With no exit liquidity the chart just looks like a dumped slow rug.

That said, refund policies are harming many founders post-launch.

I know one founder who had the launchpad itself selling and crashing their price, of which 90% of buyers refunded.

The result?

The project ate $100K in listing, marketing, etc. on the launchpad only to keep just 10% of money raised.

The pool?

That was created out of their pockets, which the launchpad then dumped tokens into.

Net losses were $200K+.

I think we'll continue to see more retail-focused platforms spinning up as time goes on.

Retail has been absolutely destroyed lately in this market as most "opportunities" are high FDV insider-riddled projects waiting to dump on them.

10,499,998 panic sold at the bottom.

That leaves just 2 people actually able to fix this dip.

The stablecoin illusion just crashed.

Everyone thought stablecoins were the safest thing in crypto. Not really.

Last couple of weeks I was SURPRISED seeing:
- multiple stablecoins have nuked
- depegged
- absolutely unreal centralization level

Some examples?

$USDX (Stables Labs) - bleeding.
$XUSD (Stream USD) - imploding
$DEUSD - the latest rug in disguise

Kinda bad for the whole industry.

But let me ask you one question..

Be honest, what stablecoin besides USDT/USDC are you using?

Just fyi, there are 200+ of them: USDC USDT BUSD USD1 USDe DAI FDUSD RLUSD USDD EURC TUSD USDf  DUSD & list goes on and on

It even feels memecoin euphoria wasn't this big.

stablecoin frenzy > memecoin mania

Stop printing these candy wrappers.

WAIT... THE WEST STEALS 53% OF YOUR CRYPTO LEGALLY?

Spain: 47% tax
Denmark: 53% (!!!)
Germany: 45%
UK: Every. Single. Swap. Is taxable.

And you're still sitting there?

I chose Dubai in 2023.

Literally the best place in the world (but only for 7 months 😂).

Made more valuable connections there in 4 months than 4 years in Europe.

Myth: "You'll get arrested for holding hands"

Reality: I feel safer at 3am here than at noon in London.

But Dubai is expensive bla bla bla. Really?

Numbers that matter:
- 1-bed with pool/gym: ~$2.5k
- Daily food delivery: $15
- Crypto tax: 0%

Remember that $2,500 rent feels like $1,250 when you're not feeding 50% to the government.

The West is stagnating while Dubai & East build the future.

I just don't get why the West is punishing crypto this hard..

Because it's money they can't control??

I've been obsessing over LinkedIn's new algorithm for the last 6 weeks

If your engagement is struggling, read this:

- Carousels are cooked

- Bookmarks & Comments are 3-5x more valuable than likes

- Native 50-120sec videos are crushing it (+ your facial IP goes up)

- New algorithm rewards content that gets rewatched

- 20/20 of my best performers are posts with media

- Dropping 10+ comments a day in your feed 30 minutes before posting helps

- Attention span here is longer than you think

- Share personal experiences, this is where no AI can compete with you

- Replying to your own comments helps (especially first 1h)

- LinkedIn loves when you keep people ON platform, so no external links

- The more dwell time on your post, the more reach it gets

I'm not a LinkedIn guru but this is what I've seen so far.

Welcome to the tech bubble!

Every failed crypto project starts the same way:

"Let's build the product first, then find users"

Dead on arrival.

I've seen this 100+ times. The winners always do it backwards (on purpose).

Community first, product second.

For eg Pudgy Penguins, Jupiter, Kaito & other tier 1s followed a similar playbook.

They built cults before the product took off.

Your community = your moat.

(especially in the age of ai)

i) start with 100 believers in a tg group
ii) monetize through services/membership
iii) get your whitelist form flooded with leads
iv) run some community campaigns & incentives

THEN scale through software.

But Vlad, whyyyy? Don't you understand that i am a REAL builder???

Well.. you're not building for them.

You're building WITH them.

This alone increases your chances of winning by 100x.

Don't overthink it.

MetaDAO might be the most important project in crypto right now.

It just surpassed $100m combined FDV of all launches.

Yes, ICOs are back as I predicted.

MetaDAO is doing the same to ICO launches as PumpFun did to memecoins.

but quite differently... 

They built something ACTUALLY innovative: futarchy-based ICOs.

Well, it's when decisions made by prediction markets ($$), not votes.

That means: a) less 2017-style scam ICOs; b) fair fundraising based on the real market demand; c) founder doesn't buy a Lambo, coz DAO controls funds.

The numbers are insane:
- $14.65m raised across 7 projects
- Solomon Labs: $102M committed for a $2M raise (50x oversubscribed!)
- UMBRA: up 700% from ICO price
- Average ATH return: 9.7x

But here's the genius part...

They use "ownership coins" - tokens that give you ACTUAL control over treasury and IP.

Isn't it cool????

And hey, I really like the bet they took..

Fair launches > VC extraction

Sooo.. MetaDAO became the launchpad with:
- No VCs dumping on retail
- No fake community votes
- No months waiting for tokens
- No "Trust me bro" treasury management

That basically fixes the altcoin market.

Solomon Labs just generated $427K in platform fees (!!) from ONE launch.

That's more revenue than most DeFi protocols make in a year.

While crypto debates the 1000th L1...

The future isn't another chain.

It's better capital formation.
