Start 2 Continue began as an independent video game news site that focused on small, upcoming developers (usually through Kickstarter or other crowdfunding campaigns) and provided alternative opinions on trends that contrasted with mainstream media in the industry. Now it focuses on supporting gamer content creators -- whether they're content creators who make content *for* gamers or professionals in other industries who enjoy gaming as a hobby.

Our site now focuses on becoming a resource for gamers and those who work within the industry, from strategy guides on how to play a game better to how-to guides on how to solve common problems such as content monetization as a streamer or video editor or exploring issues within the gaming industry that can be solved through better content marketing.

We have a very active Discord of 550+ community members that acts as a creative sandbox, allowing gamers to interact with indie developers, entrepreneurs, and content creators, allowing everyone to learn, network, and grow in the ways that are most important to them.

Amir Satvat is a Business Development Director at Tencent Games in North America, with nearly two decades of experience at companies including Amazon, Veeam, VMware, Dell EMC, and Goldman Sachs. At Amazon, he led business development and strategy for Prime Gaming and served as Principal Producer for Amazon Games.

He is best known as the founder of Amir Satvat’s Games Community, the largest grassroots career support initiative in the video game industry. Through 13 free job-seeking resources across LinkedIn, Discord, and other platforms, he has helped more than 3,900 people secure jobs. His guiding principle: “We Help Gamers Get Hired. Zero Profit, Infinite Caring.” In 2023, he was named a LinkedIn Top Voice in Video Games.

In 2023, Amir was awarded the International Special Industry Achievement Award by the Australian XR Festival, recognizing his contributions to the creative tech industry.

In 2024, he received the inaugural Game Changer Award at The Game Awards, a new accolade introduced to recognize individuals who have had a positive impact on the game industry. In 2025, his community partnered with GDC, receiving $100,000 in Expo Passes to support job seekers, and was recognized by Gamescom Cares for its grassroots impact.

LinkedIn really tightened up again and it is not you at all

The algorithm is unpredictable. We seem to have entered another phase of reduced reach, tighter filtering on what gets lift, and an overall push toward higher engagement yield with lighter impressions. Maybe boosted posts are getting priority, maybe video, maybe something else. I honestly do not know.

What I do know is that everyone I talk to has seen lighter numbers across the board. Peaks are softer, averages are lower, and posts with more viral mechanics seem to get favored.

As I say every time this happens, who cares, just keep trucking. I know I'm not changing a thing.

But please do not think you suddenly became worse at posting over the past few weeks. As someone who is very data oriented and talks to a lot of people about this, I can validate that numbers have softened again for almost everyone.
