Start 2 Continue began as an independent video game news site that focused on small, upcoming developers (usually through Kickstarter or other crowdfunding campaigns) and provided alternative opinions on trends that contrasted with mainstream media in the industry. Now it focuses on supporting gamer content creators -- whether they're content creators who make content *for* gamers or professionals in other industries who enjoy gaming as a hobby.

Our site now focuses on becoming a resource for gamers and those who work within the industry, from strategy guides on how to play a game better to how-to guides on how to solve common problems such as content monetization as a streamer or video editor or exploring issues within the gaming industry that can be solved through better content marketing.

We have a very active Discord of 550+ community members that acts as a creative sandbox, allowing gamers to interact with indie developers, entrepreneurs, and content creators, allowing everyone to learn, network, and grow in the ways that are most important to them.

The most iconic and memorable brands have long understood that messaging comes before marketing, and even marketing is 5% hacks and 95% writing. 

Joining APLBC, my goal was clear: Clarify the message, offer and USP through content, and elevate the brand through strategic storytelling and innovative Social Media practices.

Little did I know that my traditional marketing strategies would fall flat with a luxury brand. Every new approach seemed to deter the brand from its identity and that didn't do well for a brand whose partners are Luxury collections and clients are high-end clients. 

I had my wins and I pulled my best, but as a perfectionist obsessed with excellence, I envisaged more from my effort.

I went down the rabbit hole to learn about luxury marketing strategies in the digital age. Boy oh Boy! it's the new world out there. The thinking, the strategies, the psychology... all different. 

Then it clicked, traditional marketing could never suffice for a luxury brand. In fact, they are the opposite.Safe to say, that was the birth of a new love for the luxury industry for me. 

I learnt, I applied, I evaluated, I shedded, and repeated the routine. Then, everything began to make sense. The numbers, impressions, sales. From engaging content that drew in thousands of non-followers to dramatically increasing our engagement rates across platforms, we weren't just a presence on Social Media; we are now a name that clicks and still growing.

I have learned that what the world needs is Unique and authentic storytelling that distinguishes luxury brands in the digital marketplace, especially at a time when these brands are struggling to balance heritage and modernity. My experience at APLBC reinforces the belief that with the right approach, any brand could become a 'Me-Only' brand in its niche.
