Stop fixing everybody else except yourself.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned while growing up is this:

You cannot “fix” anyone other than yourself.

The world doesn’t revolve around you—you have to change yourself according to life’s requirements.

We’ve all grown up in certain environments. Our parents, surroundings, and situations shaped us.
We cannot change any of that.

You have to learn to love people for who they are.

You might feel strongly that things could’ve been better, or maybe you could’ve made small changes here and there… but the truth is, it won’t change anything. People are who they are.

But here’s the fact: YOU can change.

There’s a profound concept in Buddhism called “Oneness of Self and Environment,” which teaches that your surroundings reflect who you are.

So if you want things around you to change…

If you feel your life isn’t aligned…

You must first change yourself.

If you’re stuck in your job, ask yourself what internal gap is holding you back.

If your relationship isn’t working, examine the patterns you might be carrying that are blocking your growth.

If you’re financially struggling, assess your money mindset or identify the beliefs limiting you.

It all starts with you.

I didn’t do an MBA like many of my college friends who spent lakhs of rupees just to get a “degree.”

A lot of people even suggested that I prepare for CAT and go for an MBA… but I chose to do something different.

I learned sales by actually doing it.

I wrote content for websites and social media, words that had to work, that had to stop people from scrolling, that had to matter. Every piece taught me something new about what moves people.

I stood outside in the rain and under the scorching sun, talking to over 100 strangers every single day. 

Some days, I was rejected so many times that I forgot what a “yes” sounded like. Some days, I met people who changed the way I see the world. And some helped shape my character.

I took calls from people who didn’t even know what they wanted. Somehow, I had to help them figure it out. That taught me more about human psychology than any textbook ever could.

I worked on face-to-face campaigns where I learned one simple truth: people don’t want to be sold to — they want to be understood. They want to feel seen. Heard. Like they matter to someone, even if that someone is a stranger they just met.

I reached out to strangers on LinkedIn, asking for opportunities, referrals, and guidance. Even when my hands were shaking while typing the message.

I built relationships with people I knew nothing about. And they chose to trust me. Not because of my credentials, but because I showed up as someone who genuinely cared.

This is how I chose to learn sales: outside the walls of a classroom. Outside the safety of a degree. 
In the messy, uncomfortable, beautiful reality of human connection.

I don’t have an MBA, but I have stories. 
I have scars from rejection. I have memories of people who opened up to me about their lives. I have confidence that comes from surviving 7,000+ conversations where anything could happen.

Cutting my timelines in half actually doubled my results.

I came across a video by Leila Hormozi where she talks about using Parkinson's Law against yourself.

Parkinson’s Law says, “Work expands to fill the time allotted for it.”

Meaning:
If you give yourself a week to finish something, it'll take a week.
Give yourself a day? It'll take a day.
The work doesn't change. Your urgency does.

So if you think something will take X amount of time, give yourself half of that.
A goal you think needs 1 year? Hit it in 6 months.
A task you think needs 3 hours? Finish it in 1.5.

I tested this with my LinkedIn content. I used to spend 2 hours writing a single post, convincing myself I needed that much time to “get it right.”

Now I limit myself to 1 hour. Same quality. Less overthinking. More output.

Here’s why it works:

More time = more overthinking, more distractions, more “I’ll do it later.”

Less time = laser focus, fewer excuses, actual execution.

So stop giving yourself comfortable timelines. They’re not helping you, 
they're actually slowing you down.

You don’t have to believe everything you think. Sounds obvious, but it’s not.

Yesterday, I was listening to a podcast by Leila Hormozi, and she spoke about something that really opened my eyes.

She spoke about auditing beliefs.

We all know our beliefs shape our reality. But here’s what I didn’t realise:

You don’t have to believe everything you think.

Most of our beliefs aren’t even ours. They’re inherited from past experiences, from the people who raised us, from failures we never processed.

And if we don’t question them, our life runs on autopilot.

“I can’t lose weight.”
“I can’t build that business.”
“I’m not good enough for that.”

These aren’t facts. They’re beliefs we never questioned.

When I got fired from my first job, I believed I was “bad at communication.”

One manager. One bad day. And that became my truth.

But then I challenged myself to change that belief.

I decided to do face-to-face sales with UNICEF India.

Every day, meeting and interacting with 100+ people pushed me into environments where I had to talk continuously until my throat felt dry.

That’s how I overcame my fear around communication and changed that belief.

Here’s how I’ve learned to challenge my belief system:

When a limiting belief shows up, I ask myself:

1. Where is this coming from?

2. Is this actually true?

3. How can I challenge this and create a different reality?

Stop accepting your thoughts as facts. Start treating them as hypotheses you can test.

Turns out, most of our limiting beliefs collapse the moment we actually challenge them.

I spent 11 months approaching strangers who didn’t want to talk to me.

Some days I asked myself, “What am I even doing?”

Then I heard the Stone cutter theory — and it changed how I saw everything.

A traveler asks three stonecutters the same question: “What are you doing?”

The first one replies: “I’m cutting stones.”
The second one replies: “I’m building a wall.”
The third one replies: “I’m building a cathedral.”

Same work. Three completely different answers.

The first response shows a lack of interest.

The second reflects a sense of contribution.

The third reveals purpose, meaning, and value.

How we view our daily life, our struggles, our routines, our mundane tasks, shapes our reality far more than we realize.

When I was knocking on doors and getting rejected for the 50th time that day, I had two choices:

Tell myself, “I’m just getting rejected all day. This is pointless.”

Or tell myself, “I’m building skills that will transform my entire career.”

Same rejections. Same exhaustion. Different story.

There were days I wanted to give up. Days when every person walked past me like I didn’t exist. Days when I questioned whether any of this mattered.

But the story I kept telling myself was:
“I’m not just doing sales. I’m building my character. I’m becoming someone who can handle anything.”

It’s not easy to find meaning in the painful, repetitive, exhausting parts of life. Some days it feels impossible.

But how do you see your struggle, the story you tell yourself about it, determines whether it breaks you or builds you.

What if your timeline doesn’t match the world’s?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

Everyone around me seems to be hitting their milestones on time. The right job, the right salary, the “next level.”

And here I am, moving at a completely different pace.

Not slower. Not faster. Just different.

When the world’s pace doesn’t match yours, you have to pause. Not because you’re falling behind, but because you need to sync with your own rhythm.

That requires acceptance. Resilience. Patience.

Even if your dreams are big. Even if your intentions are pure. Even if you know exactly where you want to go.

You still have to go inward first. Connect with your roots, deeper than you ever have before.

Because before you soar high, your foundation needs to be strong enough to ensure you never collapse again.

Moving at your own pace isn’t failure. It’s refusing to build on shallow ground just to look like you’re keeping up.

Take your time. Don’t rush. Trust the process. Things will fall into place when it’s your time.

1.5 years back, I had a high-paying remote job that everyone dreams of today. 

No pressure.

No schedules.

No boundaries.

Work anywhere, anytime. The dream setup everyone chases today.

For the first few months, it felt perfect. Working from bed, taking breaks whenever I wanted, finishing tasks by noon.

But slowly, something felt off.

I’d close my laptop at 6 PM and realise I hadn’t actually spoken to a human all day. Just Slack messages and muted Zoom calls.

The freedom that once felt liberating slowly started to feel lonely. I was productive, but I wasn’t present.

I started missing things.

I missed those 2 pm lunch outings.

I missed those 4 pm coffee chats.

I missed the Monday team outings.

I missed the surprise birthday celebrations with my team.

I missed cheering for my colleague and celebrating the win together.

I missed escaping my desk and moving over to another one for a soft, casual chat while working.

I missed wrapping up the week early on a Friday so I could chill with my work bestie later.

Remote work gave me flexibility. Office work gave me people.

And I realised I needed people more.

I’m not saying remote work is bad. It has its perks, and I’m grateful I got to experience them. But for me, those random hallway conversations and shared coffees built something Zoom calls never could.

Memories. Real connections. The feeling of being part of something, not just employed by something.

2 years ago, I started a simple but powerful Sunday morning routine, my Sunday self-reflection journal.

The reason I started it in the first place was the mental chaos. There was so much noise in my mind. I had no clarity about where I was going, what I was doing, or what I truly wanted to pursue in life. 

That’s when I decided to start journaling every Sunday morning for clarity.

I haven’t missed a week since.

Every Sunday, I ask myself five questions:

1. What went right this week?

(Appreciating myself for the good things I did)

2. What went wrong?

(Acknowledging the things that didn’t go well)

3. What can I improve?

(Identifying what can be done to make things better)

4. What am I still working on?

(Recognising what is still a work in progress)

5. What shift or change do I need for a better life?

(Accepting that change is constant and actively seeking it)

Over time, I started seeing patterns — how I avoid difficult conversations until they turn into problems, or how certain days drain me more than others.

I gained clarity on where I’m actually going versus where I think I’m going.

When you move with clarity, everything else falls into place: better focus, better decisions, better results.

My Sunday ends with intention, so my entire week can begin on a strong, conscious note.

2026 is just around the corner, and here are the upgrades I’m planning to make:

And when I say “upgrade,” I don’t mean materialistic things (although it could include that, just not entirely). I mean upgrading my mindset, the choices I make, the people I surround myself with, and the life I want to build.

Here’s what I actually mean:

🎯 Relationship with money

It’s not about making more. It’s about understanding why money makes me anxious, why I spend when I’m stressed, and why I sometimes avoid checking my account.

I want to learn the emotional side of money—the part everyone struggles with but no one talks about.

🎯 Systems over motivation

I’m excited to dive deeper into a more structured and organized way of living.

I’m genuinely fascinated by the idea of building systems for everything.

I want systems that work even when I don’t feel like, structures that make growth automatic, not exhausting.

🎯 Evolving spiritually

My Buddhist practice isn’t just for peace anymore. It’s for truth.

I want to discover the parts of myself I’ve been too scared to face, connect with the rawest version of me, and shape her into someone even stronger.

🎯 Intellectual life

Reading about entrepreneurs and philosophers isn’t enough. I want to reverse-engineer their lives. Understand their minds. Study how they thought, not just what they achieved.

🎯 Nurture relationships—but not at the cost of my peace

I’ve spent years either giving everything or shutting down completely.

2026 is about protecting the people I love without sacrificing my peace. Learning that boundaries aren’t walls—they’re bridges to healthier connections.

This upcoming year isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about finally becoming who I’ve always been underneath the fear, the noise, and the need to prove something.
