Managed all administrative and operational needs pertaining to start-up and functioning of the Board. Managed test administration and disciplinary actions pertaining to licensees.  Managed vendor contracts. Supervisor, Liaison with DEP management; Organized and managed public meetings; records custodian, signing officer.

Developed, organized
and implemented publicity campaigns to highlight DEP initiatives and accomplishments.  
Responded to media inquiries.  Organized press conferences and public events. Prepared press releases and other communications materials.  Worked with the Governor’s office to announce environmental accomplishments.  Advised DEP Commissioner regarding
press matters.  Formulated media strategies.  Developed media plans.

Oversaw and supervised the drafting and promulgation of DEP rules.  Supervised work of DEP rulewriters and rule managers.  Advised DEP Commissioner and Senior Staff on regulatory matters and controversial issues.  Managed various projects related to rule development.

Provided legal representation to the New Jersey Department of Labor (1987-1990) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (1990-1999).  Experienced in all aspects of civil practice including pleadings, motions, discovery and trials. Successfully briefed and argued cases in appellate courts, including New Jersey Supreme Court.  Negotiated settlements on behalf of NJDEP, including multi-million dollar penalty settlements.  Extensive experience in Administrative law practice.
