I've always hated Claude.ai's models, UI and formatting outputs. But Claude Cowork with Opus 4.5 is like going from having a team-mate I can talk with and who's pretty decent at creating content, to an actual super competent colleague who's way better at doing technical stuff than I am, who can interact with my local files. 

- Yesterday I had it sort through 400 of my research files and group them from macro to micro so I could plan content creation. 
- Then I had it build the most comprehensive and accurate comparison I've ever built with an LLM of 5 different vehicles. It's a test I always use and it beat every other LLM including Gemini 3 Pro (Ultra) which I love and use all the time. 
- This morning I had it help sift through 10,000 cells of data to do topic clustering. 
- It builds word and Excel docs on my desktop. It can see files on my desktop and act on them. 

It's a massive phase change. OpenAI and Google will copy this immediately and that's a good thing.

TNL Construction/TNL Group

TNL was a construction company with new approaches to the industrial market. I took approaches that were standard in the high tech world and applied them to selling industrial construction. We grew rapidly to over 1000 employees in four years, as fast as Microsoft was growing in Seattle. We serviced clients such as West Coast Energy ( now Duke Energy), MacMillan Bloedel (Now Weyerhaeuser), Homestake Minerals, Gibraltar Mines ( now Taseko) . When one sector slowed down we diversified into others including large electric power plants, oil and gas plants and even high volume road building. Great stuff, and when we capitalized the company, I went into private consulting.
