Finding the right people in an account is not a title problem.
It’s a context problem.

The “right stakeholder” changes with company size, industry, and how the team actually operates.

Yet most teams still do this:
• Search by job title
• Pull 10–20 contacts
• Enrich all of them
• Dump them into CRM
• Let reps figure it out

What happens?
Reps stop trusting the data. Not because it’s wrong, but because they still have to reopen LinkedIn to understand who these people are and why they matter.

You didn’t help sales. You just gave them more work.

The shift is simple:
Stop auto-enriching by title.
Start qualifying people by their buying context.

1. Pull all plausible stakeholders.
2. Score them on seniority, ownership, and proximity to the problem.
3. Only enrich the top 3–5 (=highest scores) stakeholders

Tested this with a customer recently. They had ~15 contacts at a target company.

Everyone assumed a few of them were obvious priorities.
The system surfaced someone they would not have prioritized.

They checked the profile and said: 
“AI just schooled me. This is actually the best person for us to talk to in this company.”

Not a different function.
Not a different level.
Just the right person.

Contact sourcing shouldn’t give reps more people. It should provide them with the right people, better context, and a clear path to the decision.

Most teams think Revops is dashboards, workflows, and closing tickets.

Most "new hire" outreach fails for a boring reason:
it says nothing useful.

By the time someone joins, most messages sound the same:
"Congrats on joining {{company}} from {{previous_company}}."

I wrote about new-hire triggers five years ago.
Back then, it worked.

Now?
Everyone does it and everyone gets ignored.

The problem isn't the signal. It's what people do with it.

Job offer = context

The job description tells you why the role exists, what's broken, what they're expected to fix.

The new-hire signal tells you when to reach out.

What top operators send:

Same trigger.
Completely different approach.

The content is tailored to what they were hired to solve, not a generic "First 90 Days for Every VP of Sales," but a guide built for their exact mission.

The difference isn't personalization.
It's understanding the context behind the hire.

Signals aren't just about timing. They're about how informed you are when you reach out, and what you do with that context.

ChatGPT Health just dropped. And I’m genuinely excited.

Not because it’s perfect—but because it makes one thing undeniable: AI is now a first-class interface for health understanding.

A private space for health conversations.
Direct connections to medical records.
Built with hundreds of physicians, not just engineers.

With more than 230 million people already using ChatGPT weekly for health questions, this was inevitable.

This is progress.
Better health literacy.
More informed patients.
Better questions in the doctor’s office.

But the reaction I’m seeing everywhere misses the point.

People are confusing information with care.

What OpenAI shipped is not a care system. It’s an exceptionally strong answers layer.

At the product level, this is a clean integration move: better access to health data, stronger privacy guarantees, and a far better UX for something power users were already doing manually—uploading labs, notes, and wearables to interrogate context with an LLM.

Useful. Important. But not a shift in how health outcomes are actually changed.

And that distinction matters.

There are two fundamentally different businesses in health:

1) Answering questions
Fast, accessible explanations. Pattern recognition. Contextual understanding. This is where ChatGPT Health will be excellent.

2) Changing outcomes
This is where most “AI will replace healthcare companies” takes quietly collapse.

When people are serious about their health, they don’t just want clarity. They need systems that hold over time:

Accountability and follow-through
Interventions that adapt to response
Clinical review before advice reaches the user
Clear ownership of what happens next
Longitudinal data, not one-off interpretations

This is the hard part.

ChatGPT Health can explain a lab result.
It cannot decide which labs should exist.
It cannot run the tests.
It cannot ensure recommendations are clinically governed, traceable, and biologically grounded.

AI optimizes for what is probable.
Health decisions require what is defensible.

Insight without execution does not change trajectories.
Understanding without infrastructure does not produce outcomes.

That’s why infrastructure is the real moat.

Not interfaces.
Not explanations.
Infrastructure.

The labs.
The medical partnerships.
The regulatory frameworks.
The longitudinal systems that turn signals into decisions, and decisions into action.

ChatGPT Health is proof the market is ready for AI in healthcare.

But the companies that win won’t compete with it.
They’ll sit beneath it.

- Together > alone: alignment and cadence beat heroics. The team’s rhythm is the moat.
- My role evolved: inspire and steer, not do it all. Make the hard calls, keep standards high, dive into the trenches when it truly matters.
- Lead by example: humility + high bar beats slogans.
- Mental clarity is a force multiplier: without it, everything else wobbles.
