Research focused on the characterization of a phosphosilica glass and how its formation affects dopant diffusion. This was conducted in a manufacturing environment.
Aided in the technical design of commercial photovoltaic systems, and gained experience in both the assembling of bids/tenders and also delivery and installation of these systems.

Co-op Internship

CSG Solar

Extensive durability testing especially under damp heat conditions and other confidential research
       tasks.

Research Internship

Research focusing on silicon nitride characterization and its passivation effects. This was
       conducted in a manufacturing environment.

Valantis Vais

With a focus on guiding students through their transition from education to employment, I build strategic partnerships with education institutions and other student-focused groups across Au and NZ. 

I've created a programme which includes training (since 2022 188,000+ MYOB online student files have been used for learning purposes as part of accounting, bookkeeping and/or business courses), workshops, guest lectures, competitions and industry events to provide students with the knowledge and support they need to enter the workforce job-ready. This has resulted in MYOB engaging with at least another 10,000 students each year.

I love how education is full of promise, ambition and opportunity. Students, educators and those working in this space please connect with me to explore how we can work together to help students/early talent across ANZ find success whatever their career path.

I have also previously supported MYOB’s Talent Team with our employer branding. This helped amplify our employee value proposition and build our brand in the talent marketplace and within our organisation. I currently serve as the NZAGE Board Co-Chair (New Zealand Association of Graduate Employers) and on the Massey University School of Accountancy Advisory Board.

I graduated from the University of Bristol, England, where I was born and raised, before moving to NZ in 2010. My career has been varied. I started in London as a recruiter and event salesperson, then worked for three of NZ’s biggest media companies in Auckland. In 2015, I joined MYOB. I now live in Canterbury with my wife and two children.

I'm interested in how technology is shaping business, disruption and adaptability, the future of work, and career advice, job searching, interviews, networking, personal branding and using platforms like LinkedIn to help early talent achieve their education/career goals. I love presenting or being part of a panel discussion, so please get in touch with me if you need a speaker for an event/podcast etc, especially on any of the above topics.

I have a strong background in sales and building relationships. This shows my ability to connect with all levels of business and social contacts, especially with early talent, graduate and education professionals in my current role. I'm goal orientated with a clear and concise vision of objectives, as demonstrated by my relocation to NZ, employment history, completion of my degree, commitment to sports (completed 3 marathons and 11 half-marathons) and leisure pursuits (played 11 a-side football for 9 seasons in Auckland).
