After 18 years in eCommerce, here are three significant achievements that brought me here:

➔ My first eCommerce company started with just $700 and went on to become the largest online car insurance player in Romania, thanks to the principles of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).

➔ After realizing the game-changing potential of Conversion Rate Optimization I launched OmniConvert, a growth experimentation suite for eCommerce companies, where >1K eCommerce companies ran >60K experiments 

➔ My team helped >800 eCommerce companies like Patagonia, Sephora, and Max Mara run experiments to improve their conversions and CLV

I’ve finally put all my experience in one place and wrote a best-selling book: The CLV Revolution - a practical guide with actionable insights to leverage the power of customer research, CX, and experimentation to improve the Customer Lifetime Value in eCommerce.

Snowplow Analytics is a 1st party open source digital analytics platform. Grew its community size by 10%, increased engagement by 50% & grew social followers by 80%, whilst driving brand awareness & sales through in-person events. 
Role: Devise, lead & execute an event-based strategy to relaunch its Community to support ambitious growth goals. 
Key Accomplishments:
Built a community function from scratch, formulated a reporting framework for monthly reports to the SLT.
Developed a successful Community engagement & growth strategy.
Organised 13 in-person events in EMEA & NAMER, with an average of 2 Sales Accepted Opportunities per event. Presented at many of these events.
Executed successful monthly developer webinars & other Community led digital events. Saw 50% growth in attendance, with a conversion rate of 45%.
Surfaced Snowplow’s brand across data communities in Europe & the US.
Nurtured Community Champions resulting in increased contributions, volunteers & buzz around Snowplow. Has resulted in a Community led education programme.
Developed strong relationships with key user groups within the Community.
Grew social media engagement & increased followers by 80%, resulting in 100% growth of social leads per month. Implemented in-house Social Advocacy programme that tripled the number of brand ambassadors.

Alfresco Community Manager

Responsible for managing the strategy and execution of growth and engagement programmes for the Alfresco community of users, developers, customers and partners. Duties include:
	Managing cross-functional and international teams and projects, overseeing the planning, development and design of marketing and engagement programmes.
	Helping marketing form a strategy to segment the open source users and reach those who are candidates for upgrading to paid products.
	Daily monitoring conversations and working with Product Marketing, Engineering and Customer Success teams to set up processes to triage the timely response to questions and issues.
	Regular reporting to internal teams on user groups insight and engagement KPIs that support Alfresco business goals, serving as the technical expert throughout.
	Moderating and managing forums and user groups by managing the group guidelines and moderation process and by establishing a consistent culture and tone.

developing strategies to engage and grow the community, 
liaising with partners, 
developing onboarding and nurture programmes,

Fresh Web Services (FWS) was a boutique e-commerce consultancy operating in the Magento and open source space. It offered technical and marketing services for Magento owners, including new builds and marketing integration and strategy.
FWS also built and integrateed Joomla and WordPress websites into client's marketing mix.

Alfresco consultancy for BT Marketing, Cork County Council.
Joomla Consultancy for Vale of White Horse District Council, Probation Service & multiple private sector clients.
LiveLink Consultancy for Dept for Export Credits.

Worked on a variety of projects in different roles. 
Wrote a bespoke Java CMS, news syndication webservice, & GIS application interfacing with LiveLink WCM, 
Java (Swing) Accounts Receivable interface to Oracle Financials, Java webservices to connect legacy data sources to Oracle Financials
Ruby on Rails application to manage funding applications. 
I also wrote several LiveLink WCM microsites and worked on various small LiveLink projects. 
Last role was as technical architect on the Councils new (LiveLink) intranet project, tasked with interfacing LiveLink with a content classification and EDRMS system.

University of Leicester

Temporary position teaching Modern British and European history, particularly 19-20 century comparative Franco-German history and a course on the Spanish Civil War. Published a couple of articles on modern Spanish history.

Enjoyed it but was increasingly disillusioned with the trajectory that the RAE was forcing upon academia. Also took note of older colleagues who said, 'Get out now while you still can'!
