or
“Do I suit this hat?”

I’d default to ego-soothing.
Make them feel better.
Keep the peace.

Now? I tell the truth.
(Full disclosure: I like big butts and I cannot lie 🎶🍑)

Because real feedback, aka tough love, delivered without malice or self-interest is one of the most genuine forms of kindness there is.

Yes, it often gets mislabelled as:
• “Judgement”
• “Jealousy”
• “B1tches be trippin”

But kindness sits much closer to truth than niceness ever will.

In work.
In relationships.
In life.

Surround yourself with people who tell you the kind truth, not the comfortable lie.
