I had the pleasure of attending the just-concluded Africa Blockchain Festival in Kigali, Rwanda,  and I’m still processing how impactful the entire experience was.

One standout moment for me was Salem’s session on Embracing AI in Creativity. It opened up new ways of thinking about the role of technology in artistic expression and was easily one of the most thoughtful sessions I’ve attended at any blockchain event.

But beyond the content, it was the people that made the event memorable — connecting with developers, founders, creatives, and business minds from across the continent reminded me just how vast and vibrant the African Web3 ecosystem is becoming. There’s real energy here, and even more importantly, there's alignment around building tools, communities, and opportunities that serve us.

Also, a special note of appreciation to the people of Rwanda - your warmth and hospitality were unmatched. Kigali felt like home.

She currently serves as the Social Media and Operations Lead at Africa Blockchain Festival, where she drives engagement and visibility for one of Africa’s leading blockchain events.

Denise holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Uyo, Nigeria and is actively building a career in Artificial Intelligence, combining her technical foundation with expertise in digital communities.

She has a proven track record of designing and executing impactful community strategies across platforms such as Discord, Telegram, and Twitter. At Dexodus Finance, Denise led influencer marketing and social media initiatives, organizing meetups and events to strengthen community involvement. At Binance Academy, she focused on content creation, campaign analysis, and scaling social media presence. At Blockwiz, she spearheaded community campaigns and managed Discord and Telegram channels to foster growth and engagement.

Standing at the Kigali Convention Centre this past weekend, seeing over 2,000+ global attendees, creators, founders, regulators, and innovators under one roof,

it hit me: we built this.

As the Community & Social Media Lead, my goal was simple, to turn an idea into a movement.

Over the past months, I:

• Built a thriving online community around ABF across Telegram, X, LinkedIn and Instagram

•Crafted and led digital strategy from content tone and speaker announcements to daily engagement campaigns

• Coordinated local community partnerships, and online activations to bring #ABF2025 to life

• Helped grow the ABF audience from zero to thousands across Africa and beyond

The result?

A pan-African celebration of blockchain, AI, and creativity that united minds and inspired futures.
