For Todd Mendeloff, your focus (your niche) shouldn't be arbitrary; it should be based on your unfair advantage.

His product (https://zugazi.com/) is a multi-use tool for general 3d visualization, but he chose to focus on applications for TV, film,  and commercials because the Zugazi team is a bunch of filmmakers and technologists who come out of that world.

This approach works for growth too because in the particular lies the universal, so by designing deeply for one persona, you end up covering adjacent use cases.

By solving the most demanding version of the problem for TV/film previz/comms, Zugazi naturally asserts itself as a useful tool for mechanical engineering communications, education, and more.
