One of the things I genuinely look forward to is taking induction sessions with new team members.

Every time, I notice the same pattern: people who’ve just joined bring a kind of raw curiosity that’s hard to find later in the rush of execution. They ask questions that most others stop asking: Why do we do it this way?

What happens if we don’t? And those are exactly the questions that keep a company sharp.

Some are quiet observers, some want to debate every process, and a few are already thinking about how they can make things better from day one. I love that mix. It reminds me that real growth doesn’t come from experience alone; it comes from curiosity backed by initiative.

That’s the best part about these sessions. They’re not about introducing people to the company; they’re about rediscovering it through their eyes.

I still remember something my professor asked us on graduation day..

“If all of you dream of starting something new, what’s the one thing you think you’ll never compromise on?”
Back then, my answer was instant: “Innovation.” Obviously, coming from a design and innovation background.

Everyone nodded, because that’s what every aspiring entrepreneur says.

Years later, after hundreds of product iterations, sleepless deployments, and lessons that didn’t come from any textbook, I finally understood what he was really asking.

It wasn’t about innovation.
It was about endurance.

About staying curious when things stop being exciting.

About showing up when the problem feels bigger than your idea.
That photo from graduation reminds me how easy it was to dream of building something new…

And how rare it is to keep building when the dream starts demanding everything from you.

Maybe that’s what entrepreneurship really is, not about starting up,
but staying in long enough to find what truly matters.

Had a chance to be part of the IIMA Ventures Startup Showcase in Dubai.

The most meaningful conversations were the ones that spoke about how climate-tech can actually move the needle on air pollution and how startups are actually shaping real change in the field of environmental monitoring, not in theory, but in deployment, impact, and accountability. 

And that’s where Oizom fits in, not with features, but with impact on the ground.

It reminded me that climate-tech only creates change when two things meet:
rigorous engineering and people who care enough to deploy it well.

We also had great interaction with students at the IIMA Dubai campus, sharp questions, real curiosity, and a clear interest in how climate-tech works beyond the dashboard.

And grateful to Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad - Dubai Campus, Sunil Sharma, Aditya Moses, Priyanka Agarwal Chopra, Vipul Patel, Supriya Sharma Sanea Vakaliya, Chintan Antani, Soniya Sadhnani, ACA, CFA, Swarup Pandya and the IIMA Ventures team for curating a room where these conversations can happen honestly.

Dubai made one thing clear, the world is looking for systems that work, consistently, anywhere.

Driving Strategic Transformation in Environment Data Analytics & IoT Space:
• Proposed restructuring of key departments and the overall reporting structure to enhance cross-functional collaboration and ensure more efficient resource management.
• Streamlined customer issues-addressal workflows by strategically eliminating bottlenecks, significantly reducing redundant redirections by up to 80% and improving response times.
• Formulated a servitization strategy and developed a comprehensive 2-year road-map to facilitate the transition from a traditional manufacturing-based business model to a service-oriented approach.
• Identified and pitched two high-impact market expansion opportunities, securing CEO approval for one, which is now progressing under active development with dedicated resources.

About the Experience:
This project is part of my DP 2 course on 'Business Model Innovation' and 'Organizational Design Audit' where we collaborated with Oizom, one of India's leading IoT-based air quality sensing and data analytics startups. In this academic partnership, we worked as Strategy Consultants, directly reporting to their CXO team. This project provided a hands-on learning experience, allowing me to tackle real-world startup challenges while gaining valuable insights into business strategy and organizational design. Special thanks to the proactive cooperation and mentorship from Sohil (CTO), Vrushank (COO), and Jainam (CBO) for their support throughout the project. The overall project comprised of an extensive primary research & analysis, including 27 in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, surveys, & process audits, with findings presented in 6 key themes: product, leadership, processes, partners, culture, & structure.

• Only fresher selected from the EV CoE team to join the leadership team for an onsite client presentation to a Fortune 500 company, securing a major EPC contract.
• Executed policy-study and execution plan for a Fortune 10 client’s Supply Chain Localization Initiative, Performed Market research and benchmarking for Annual BU Strategy meetings.
• Authored two extensively researched internal white-papers within a year, significantly contributing to enhanced client engagement and driving new lead generation opportunities.

• Built a highly efficient suspension design toolkit for the modular EV skateboard architecture developed to customise for client requirements, cutting R&D timeline by 70%.

About the Experience:
As part of the Electric Vehicle CoE (Center of Excellence) team under Mr. Perumal & Mr. Kumaran, I had the privilege of working alongside a distinguished team of PhD doctorates, senior engineers, and expert consultants, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in EV research and development. Despite being an undergraduate, I was involved in innovative projects like 'in-house modular EV skateboard architecture development' and high-level meetings with upper management and clients, thanks to our teams direct reporting line to the Global Head of the MD&E Business Unit Mr. Manoz. This dynamic environment significantly enhanced my technical skills and provided deep insights into the strategic aspects of the EV industry.

• Revamped the council's Org Structure to shift focus towards decentralised & collaborative activities resulting in expansion of focus-areas, mitigated club shutdowns and fueled the growth of 3 new high-performing clubs and competition teams.
• Led a team of 150+ students, secured & managed 40L budget, engaging 5K+ students from 25+ institutions, doubling yearly footfall and engagement
• Successfully organised the institute's 1st Tech Summit and the technology events of our Annual Fest achieving a combined footfall of 300 students.
• Led our contingent of 50 students to secure the top performance among 3rd gen IITs at 'Inter IIT Tech Meet 10.0' held at IIT Kharagpur.

About the Experience:
As the Elected Secretary of the Technical Affairs Council, I was responsible for the management of institute's co-curricular activities and their finance- spanning 4 technical clubs, innovation lab, entrepreneurship cell, industry collaborations, student led projects, tech fest and pan-IIT initiatives.
