One of the things I genuinely look forward to is taking induction sessions with new team members.

Every time, I notice the same pattern: people who’ve just joined bring a kind of raw curiosity that’s hard to find later in the rush of execution. They ask questions that most others stop asking: Why do we do it this way?

What happens if we don’t? And those are exactly the questions that keep a company sharp.

Some are quiet observers, some want to debate every process, and a few are already thinking about how they can make things better from day one. I love that mix. It reminds me that real growth doesn’t come from experience alone; it comes from curiosity backed by initiative.

That’s the best part about these sessions. They’re not about introducing people to the company; they’re about rediscovering it through their eyes.

I still remember something my professor asked us on graduation day..

“If all of you dream of starting something new, what’s the one thing you think you’ll never compromise on?”
Back then, my answer was instant: “Innovation.” Obviously, coming from a design and innovation background.

Everyone nodded, because that’s what every aspiring entrepreneur says.

Years later, after hundreds of product iterations, sleepless deployments, and lessons that didn’t come from any textbook, I finally understood what he was really asking.

It wasn’t about innovation.
It was about endurance.

About staying curious when things stop being exciting.

About showing up when the problem feels bigger than your idea.
That photo from graduation reminds me how easy it was to dream of building something new…

And how rare it is to keep building when the dream starts demanding everything from you.

Maybe that’s what entrepreneurship really is, not about starting up,
but staying in long enough to find what truly matters.

Had a chance to be part of the IIMA Ventures Startup Showcase in Dubai.

The most meaningful conversations were the ones that spoke about how climate-tech can actually move the needle on air pollution and how startups are actually shaping real change in the field of environmental monitoring, not in theory, but in deployment, impact, and accountability. 

And that’s where Oizom fits in, not with features, but with impact on the ground.

It reminded me that climate-tech only creates change when two things meet:
rigorous engineering and people who care enough to deploy it well.

We also had great interaction with students at the IIMA Dubai campus, sharp questions, real curiosity, and a clear interest in how climate-tech works beyond the dashboard.

And grateful to Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad - Dubai Campus, Sunil Sharma, Aditya Moses, Priyanka Agarwal Chopra, Vipul Patel, Supriya Sharma Sanea Vakaliya, Chintan Antani, Soniya Sadhnani, ACA, CFA, Swarup Pandya and the IIMA Ventures team for curating a room where these conversations can happen honestly.

Dubai made one thing clear, the world is looking for systems that work, consistently, anywhere.

10 years of Oizom.
Not a straight road, not a perfect one, but a decade of building, learning, fixing, and growing.

This video isn’t about milestones, it’s about the moments that shaped us… the early prototypes, the field lessons, the setbacks that taught more than any success, and the small wins that kept us moving.

If this journey taught me one thing, it’s this:
Consistency beats inspiration.
