He's a software engineer. Does AI consulting.

"That's exactly why it matters more. If your HoM can't think in AI from day one and just wants to add headcount and play traffic controller, they'll never get you there."

"Do you want to build a bureaucratic company where one headline takes 6 weeks to change? That's your choice."

"I guarantee if they can't think this way, they won't take you to your vision. Not in this landscape."

"It's 2026. You won't believe how fast things are moving. If your HoM is still operating like it's 2006, that's a slow death for all of you."

I've been sitting with this since.

I hate corporate politics. It's why I left the corporate world to build the culture I actually wanted to work in.

I’m a tech guy at heart.  And I deeply believe what Scrum teaches: “Waste is a crime.”

So now I'm genuinely asking.

Is he an outlier? Or is this the new standard?

Has anyone actually built a 1-person marketing team powered by AI agents?

Most agencies say they “have a dev.”
What they usually mean is: a freelancer on Slack.

That works - until performance matters.

Freelancers ship tasks.
They don’t own systems.

But they don’t ask:
– what breaks when traffic spikes?
– is this scalable, or just shipped?
