Confirmation bias is another key. People look for things that match what they already believe. If your message fits their view, saying “yes” feels easy.

Scaling from 3 to 35 people taught me one thing: Team culture is the backbone of sustainable growth.

Building a team at magier was no accident.

Every hire, every onboarding call, every tough decision I made them with one goal: keep the bar high.

No shortcuts.

When you scale a company, you realise one thing fast. Leading means talking to people all the time.

And honestly, I want to spend that time with my team, not with clients. My job is to enable my team so they can do great work for the client. That is where leadership really happens.

I learned early that culture fit beats a perfect resume.

You can teach skills. You cannot teach attitude or drive.

People who care, show up, and lift the team—those are the ones who shape what’s possible.

A-players change everything.

Great hires push the team forward.
Bad hires pull the team down.

If you lower standards even once, it gets easier to do it again.

That’s how teams lose their edge.

I invest time in coaching, listening, and letting talent grow.

Processes help, but people make it happen.

The magic is in how the team thinks, solves problems, and supports each other.

I spent a week building something most users will never consciously notice.

The animation preview pages.

When I first built Annnimate, I did what everyone does: thumbnail grids. Click a card, see a modal.
Done.

It worked. But it felt... cramped.

Like trying to appreciate a painting through a keyhole.

Animations need space to breathe.

They need context. Room to move. An environment that says "this is worth your attention."

A modal popup doesn't say that. It says "quick glance, move on."

So I deleted the modal. And built full-page preview environments instead.

Turns out, this was one of the most requested features for Annnimate v2. People wanted to actually see how animations behave before committing.

But I didn't stop there.

I created an entire brand identity for these previews. A fictional company called "Kinetic Athletics". Complete with product shots, marketing copy, and consistent visuals across every animation.

Because showing a button hover on a blank page doesn't tell you anything.

Showing it on a real product card, with real context, with visuals that build on each other, that's when you actually see how it works.

The way you present something shapes how people experience it.

Give an animation a cramped modal, it feels like a utility.
Give it a dedicated stage with real-world context, it becomes a tool you can imagine using.

Now every animation in Annnimate lives in a world that makes sense.

Because the details people don't consciously notice are often the ones they feel the most.

Rebuilding Annnimate from the ground up.

v2 isn't just an update. It's a complete reimagining of how you create animations.

I can't say more yet. But if you thought copy-paste animations were powerful before...

"What's actually inside Annnimate?"

I got this question constantly with v1.

And it made sense.

Nobody wants to buy the cat in the bag.

But v1 didn't have a good answer. A few screenshots on the landing page. A demo video. That was it.

Users had to trust that the library was worth it.

Most did. But the question kept coming.

So when I rebuilt Annnimate for v2, this became the first thing I fixed.

I built a full Collection page. Public. No login.

Every animation in the library. Same filtering. Same sorting. Same view switching. Same search.

The exact experience paying users get. Just without the code.

Because if someone's deciding whether to spend money on an animation library, they should see everything first.

Not a curated sample.
Not a highlight reel.
Everything.

Lessons learnt.

The way I see it now: if the product is good, showing more only helps.

If it's not, no amount of hiding will save it.
