15 simple rules to grow on LinkedIn 

This is the roadmap to win & stand out: 

I have coached 100s of experts to win clients here, and I’ve seen them all convert in real time. 


1. Lead with proof, facts, and lived experience. 


2. Be genuinely interested in helping your audience, even the ones who may never buy. 


3. Don’t use AI to write comments. Treat comments like mini-posts. 


4. Don’t be boring. Be polarizing, engaging, and unpredictable. 


5. Don’t write about things you don’t understand. Write like you’d have to prove your point to top experts. 


6. Value people’s time, keep it short and sweet if you can. 


7. Obsess around how your buyers engage & where they hang out. Look for signals! 


8. Don’t play it safe with content; be courageous and share strong opinions. 


9. Use stories as Trojan horses for teaching. People remember narratives, not bullet points.

Hey, I'm Christian. Nike alumni, former sportswear founder, and leadership coach turned storyteller. In the last decade, I saw both. I was part of the first group, too, for a while.

But I was hungry. I wanted to build a strong international network, make an impact, and express myself.

So I started.
I tried the “Just Do It” advice.
Even hired a LinkedIn coach.

But deep down, I was still insecure. The support I got didn't get to the root - my fear of what others think. And the underlying belief - I’m not good enough.

That changed in October 2018, during a 14-day Vipassana Meditation retreat and the following training in somatic work. I worked with my fear for the first time, realised how it shows up in the body, and learned how to release it.

After this experience, a huge weight fell off my shoulders.
So I started sharing my stories and reflections. Without trying to “build a brand,” fantastic opportunities showed up. Podcast invites, clients, mentors, and business partners.

Today, I work with founders to overcome the fear of what others think and show up authentically, without feeling salesy. The goal? To become a calm authority that naturally creates trust and credibility.

Together, we detect the emotional block, release it through somatic integration, and create a narrative that reflects who you truly are.

The benefit no one talks about in personal branding is how much it helps you grow as a human:

I remember so well the moment when I started to post and make videos. 

It was so hard.
It felt so cringe. 

And - like most people creating content online - I got quickly attached to reaching many followers. 

But then over time, something shifted. I realized that all I was doing and experiencing was a reflection of how I felt and who I am. 

So I started to take making videos of myself and showing up online as an opportunity to grow. 

The great thing about this angle: the numbers don’t matter. 

Facing your fear of what others think matters.

Meeting your worries about your reputation matters.

Acknowledging your weird feeling when you think about showing up matters.

Noticing the resistance towards “ I definitely don’t want to be that guy” matters.

Even the anxious sensation of constantly checking how many people liked my post matters. 

All inner experience is data - and fuel for your natural growth. 

Personal branding is the playground. 

Because the truth is, this is not about LinkedIn. This is not about making videos. 

This is much deeper. (And quite logically has to resolved there, not with tactics only) 

It you see it like that, you’ll get to know yourself more deeply. 

And that, I think, is the biggest reward of all.
