17. Taking full responsibility for where you are right now is empowering.
I’ve realized that the moment you own everything, nothing owns you. That’s freedom!

I am not bashing the idea of working for someone else.

I have, and it taught me a lot. 

I bash the idea of not taking any risk and expecting things to change.
 
Well, the law of cause and effect won’t allow it. 

I went into financial debt multiple times to start & grow my business, and it wasn’t about: 

“This is such a big risk, let’s see how it goes.”

It was more about: 

“I am betting on myself for this to work, and it will”. 

There is a different energy and vibe to that.

3 small habits that completely changed my energy

I don’t do crazy routines anymore.

No 5am alarms. No 12-step morning hacks.

I just built a rhythm that actually fits real life:

1️⃣ Fast till noon.
Not for discipline points, I just feel sharper when I’m not digesting early.
Coffee + water + focus. Simple.

2️⃣ No high-glycemic junk.
I stay away from white rice, sugary snacks, that crash-and-burn food.
Cranberry rice, oats, fruit, all cool. Keeps energy stable, no afternoon coma.

3️⃣ Walk + stretch daily.
7k steps, usually after work or in my desk treadmill.
Then a 15-min stretch before bed. Loosens the body.

That’s the baseline of it all.

Energy’s steady, mood’s calm, body feels like it’s on my side again.

P.S. Everyone has a different style... and trying to copycat a random influencer often hurts more than it helps.

Can we please just normalise taking care of yourself,
instead of waiting for a huge breakdown first.

You don’t need a doctor’s note or a mid-life crisis to start sleeping properly.
You don’t need to hit 30% body fat before you pick up a weight.

Not everything has to be some dramatic redemption arc.
Sometimes it’s just:
“I got tired of feeling like sh*t, so I changed it.”

You don’t need ice baths, supplements, or a monk-mode routine.

You need:
Real food and sleep that isn’t optional.

And a reason to care again.

There's absolutely no need for a miracle plan.
They do need a reminder they’re still in charge.

You worked hard. You built a life.

Now build the health to actually live it.

“You’re tired because you don’t cold plunge every morning.”

Garbage advice.

you’re tired because you sleep terrible, eat terrible, and stress all day.

not because you didn’t sit in a bucket of ice like an instagram model.

cold plunges are fine.

they make you feel awake because your body thinks you’re dying for 30 seconds.

I wouldn't call that exactly healthy honestly.

you know what fixes tired?

• going to bed at a normal freaking time
• eating something green occasionally
• not living off caffeine and apples
• walking more than 800 steps a day
• lifting a weight that isn’t your ego

but the internet will sell you anything that looks “hardcore.”
because “basic human routine” doesn’t get clicks.

so no.

You’re not tired because of the temperature of your bathtub.

you’re tired because your foundation is weak.

There's steps to run through first...

cold plunge after if you’re bored.

the hardest question I’ve ever asked myself:

“when did taking care of myself start feeling optional?”

we grow up thinking health means this checklist:
– lift heavy, eat chicken, repeat
– push through tiredness
– never skip a day

but somewhere along the way, life gets loud.
and slowly… we stop listening to our body.

this is what nobody tells you in your twenties (or any age really):

most of what you call “discipline”
is actually fear of slowing down.

you copy routines that never fit your rhythm.
you chase someone else’s version of strength.
you treat rest like it’s weakness.

as Marcus Aurelius once said:
“the happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.”

and most of our thoughts about health… aren’t even ours.

rebuilding your body is mostly undoing everything that made you ignore yourself.

it means resting without guilt.
it means eating without shame.
it means training because you want to, not because you hate how you look.

the goal is to finally take care of yourself.
