Having the honor to lead one of the teams at Albert Heijn Distribution Center Mechanisation. The first mechanized and biggest distribution center of Albert Heijn.

Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for 50+ employees.
- Communicating with Vanderlande International (contractor of the equipment).
- Make sure the logistical part runs smoothly (300 stores get their products daily, over 200.000 products every single day).
- Close contact with the Shiftleader who is responsible for the process systems.

One of the main tasks was creating new financial reports for the e-commerce controlling team, such as daily sales performances and sales indicators in order to obtain a better understanding of what drives revenue. Furthermore, I was involved in controlling the monthly actuals vs. budgeted costs of all the e-commerce departments, discussing the outcomes during regular meetings.

During my stay I have achieved a good understanding of the KPI's (Key performance Indicators) that drive the online business, different business models and financial accounting and controlling itself. As a financial controller I was continuously working on understanding how to optimize different KPI's in order to be more profitable without losing client satisfaction. In addition, I have also developed interpersonal skills such as planning, researching and communicating with employees on different levels and in different situations.

i have realised i am not really a vision board or new year resolution person.

mostly because the one time i tried, i failed at it very honestly and very badly.

so this year i am not doing that.

instead i am trying something i came across recently. setting a theme for the year.

this theme becomes your north star for everything you do/decide.

this year’s theme is aukaat ke bahar.

if something feels risky or unfamiliar, that is my sign.

if it feels like something i would usually overthink myself out, i am saying yes.

doing things i would not normally do.

taking decisions that scare the shit out of me and going all in with all madness and (belief)

if it feels aukaat ke bahar, i am doing it anyway.
