As a Breakthrough Enrolment Coach at HPC, my primary focus was to host one-on-one discovery calls with coaches seeking to grow their businesses to $10K+ per month. Utilizing NEPQ (Neuro-Emotional Persuasion Questioning) style questioning, I engaged with coaches to understand their current and past approaches, as well as their business and personal goals and why these goals were important to them. 

This process illuminated what was missing for them to achieve their goals—usually a trifecta of business skills, support, and accountability. Coaches also got to experience firsthand how to conduct a discovery call and enrol someone without being 'salesy', pushy or needing to rely on hard tactics or heavy convincing, which is often the main reason coaches struggle to grow their business.

As an HPC Performance Coach, I help fellow coaches uncover and overcome personal obstacles to creating impactful coaching businesses by sharing insights, tools, and proven strategies to get them moving again. These one-on-one sessions provide an incredible opportunity for hyper-focused, insightful coach-to-coach feedback. During these sessions, I challenge fellow coaches to rethink their assumptions while supporting them in building upon their skills and experience.

In addition, I also served as an Accountability Coach for the program. This involved holding coaches accountable to their goals, ensuring they stayed on track, and providing consistent support and motivation to help them achieve their business milestones.

I'm a mindset & confidence coach that helps GBTQ+ men uncover 𝑺𝒆𝒍𝒇-𝑺𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒆 and turn it into 𝑺𝒆𝒍𝒇-𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒚 so they can stop feeling guilty and live a happy and fulfilling life.
 
Bullied as a child, I accepted that it was easier to hide and avoid than to confront my bullies. This avoidance persisted into adulthood. Instead of facing my fears head-on, I hid behind my "armour" to shield my vulnerabilities.
 
Avoiding my issues and my constant need for perfectionism didn't bring me any relief. It gradually obliterated my self-confidence.
 
Over time, my avoidance & perfectionism lead to feeling:
 
∙ FRUSTRATED with my shortcomings
∙ EXHAUSTED by my countless failures
∙ RESIGNED to live an unfulfilling life
∙ FEARFUL of making MOST decisions
∙ DEFEATED as my brain reinforced negative beliefs with confirmation bias
∙ DYSREGULATED every time my 'buttons were pushed'

Today I opened yet another rejection email. Nothing surprising… until I saw the sender: Oracle — the place I gave 27 years of my life to. The place where I grew, led, built, and poured everything I had into people, products, and purpose.

This was the fifth “we’re moving forward with another candidate” since they let me go in September.

And I’ll be honest… it stung.
 It made the old doubts whisper louder:
 Maybe I’m too old. Maybe my experience no longer matters. Maybe the door I helped build is now closed to me.

It felt like trying to return to an ex who traded a 27-year partnership for someone younger, shinier, and easier to love.

I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’m sharing it because so many of us are sitting with silent heartbreak in the job market.

🎄 I’ll Be Home for Christmas — And Maybe That’s Exactly What We Need ✨

This year, I made a simple decision: I’m going home for #Christmas.
Not to escape… but to breathe. To reset. To remember who I am beyond the chaos of the last few months.

Ever since Halloween, the world has been ringing its holiday bells. But for many in the tech community — especially those impacted by the #OracleRIF — the season feels heavier this time. The job search slows down, emotions run high, and uncertainty becomes part of the daily routine.

But here’s the truth I finally accepted:
⚡ We’re not machines. We’re #humans. And humans need pauses.
That’s why I’m choosing to step out of the marathon for a moment. From now until the New Year, I’m focusing on rebuilding my energy, not just my résumé.

✨ I’m giving myself permission to:
💭 #Reflect on my journey — not with fear, but with curiosity.
❤️ #Reconnect with family, friends, and colleagues who refill my emotional tank.
💪 #Re-establish a routine that nurtures my physical and mental health.

And the reminder I keep close:
Being laid off is an event, not an identity.
Your value doesn’t shrink because your job title changed.
This season isn’t a setback.

It’s a new beginning dressed as a pause — and there is zero shame in that.
Let’s #Rest.
Let’s #Breathe.
And let’s #Rise stronger in 2026. 🌅

🎄💔 Three Months Later: What the Holidays Taught Me 💔🎄

Hello my friends,
 It’s been more than two weeks… and truthfully, I’ve missed you. More than I expected. ❤️

As the holiday lights go up and everyone prepares for warmth, family, and hope… my own world has felt strangely cold. My job search echoes with silence. ❄️🕯️

In these past two weeks with loved ones, the same questions kept coming:
 “#Why are you sad?”
 “You’re a transformation coach now — shouldn’t this be your moment?”

But grief doesn’t follow logic.
 And heartbreak doesn’t care about résumé titles.
Because underneath the festive season, I’m still carrying what happened on September 2nd — after 27 years and 2 days at Oracle.
 Nearly three decades of loyalty… erased in minutes.
 No recognition.
 No humanity.
 Just a cold, clinical cut. 🎄✂️💔
 And that humiliation — that feeling of being disposable — is what no one around me could truly grasp.

Yet… here’s the unexpected twist.
 Amid the hurt, the real gifts appeared. 🎁

 People showed up. Friends, ex-colleagues, clients — offering support, compassion, and words that warmed the places Oracle left frozen.
 I received more kindness in two weeks than I did in years.

Oscar Wilde said,
 “A cynic knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.”
 These months reminded me: I am not that cynic.
 I still choose value over price.
 Dignity over titles.
 Humanity over corporate perfection.

Your Enemy Could Be Your Best Friend 💫

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Your worst enemy could be your best friend — and your best friend your worst enemy”?

I’ve heard it many times, but only recently did I live it.
It’s been over two months since I was impacted by the #OracleRIF. At first, I saw it as the ENEMY 💣 — sudden, painful, and deeply unsettling. I went through all the motions: updating my résumé, applying for jobs, reaching out to my network. But despite decades of experience in IT, nothing seemed to work anymore.

Anxiety crept in, and I felt trapped — like being chased by something I couldn’t see. Yet in that chaos, something powerful awakened: my survival instinct. 🧭

That push led me into uncharted territory — a new career path I had only dabbled in before. I began learning new tools, building new strategies, and slowly, new doors began to open 🚪.

Then came the realization: the “enemy” that disrupted my life was actually guiding me toward growth. And the “friend” — my comfortable old job — had quietly kept me from evolving.

Sometimes life has to shake us out of our comfort zone to move us into our success zone. 🌱
