Deepinder Goyal is stepping down as CEO of Eternal effective Feb 1, 2026, and Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa will take over as CEO.

This signals that quick commerce is not just the new bet anymore. It is now contributing a larger share of the company’s revenue than food delivery.

Food delivery is already a fairly established habit.

Whereas quick commerce is the behaviour still expanding - more use-cases, more frequency, more “open the app for one thing… and end up buying five.”

And the advantage will not be a louder 10-minute promise.

It will be reliability that makes people come back daily.

• accurate ETAs (trust compounds)
• smart substitutions (so the experience doesn’t feel like a compromise)
• fast refunds/support (service recovery = retention)
• fewer broken moments end-to-end (the real churn driver)

Because growth here isn’t only acquisition.

It’s habit-building, removing friction until “open Blinkit” becomes the default.
