Is there a future for business schools? How can we teach decision making supported by AI? What place should computer science have in business programs? How to prepare graduates for an ever-changing ecosystem and business models? 
The changes in the work environment require that business schools change the way they are teaching and what they are teaching. My research centers on this. The goal is to map out what skills are required now, and in 5 years, which universities can stimulate the development of these skills, and how curricula and more importantly teaching methods should change.

I'm a researcher of collaborative online learning environments for professionals. I am desiging instructional environments and evaluate their effectiveness with regard to professional development. 
The second strand of research deals with team behaviour in virtual work environments and how these behavioural traits influence team learning and team performance.

My research deals with the role of adaptive experts in multidisciplinary teams. Adaptive experts are those experts who can deal with novel situations, they are not stuck in routines and 'freeze' when confronted with a new situation, but see it as a welcome change and use their knowledge and drive for learning to create a solution. I'm looking if adaptive experts hold particular position within the communication network and play an important role in coordination team members input. 
I use a mix of methods in my studies, but my preference is to use SNA.

The University plans to improve the support offered to PhDs. This also includes better selection procedure and more opportunities for career development. I am hired to investigate the issue at hand. My work consists of interviewing PhDs throughout the faculty, a professor per graduate school, creating a survey, analysing the interviews and the survey outcome and provide sugegstions on how to improve the selection of PhDs, how to support them better in their research and educational activities and how to prepare them better for their job after the PhD.
The project is important as the PhDs of today are the scientist of tomorrow. A good training in research is needed to ensure good scientific work in later stages.

Thanks to a PhD in behavioural science and 10 years in academia, leading small and large research projects, I’m an expert in defining problems and collecting the right data to solve the problem. 

I have worked with health care teams, consulting teams, tech companies, advised HR analytic companies on best metrics and methods to collect and analyze data.

Next to improving human systems with the help of data, I'm passionate about education and how to innovate places of learning. Getting education right, by letting kids know that they have opportunities and creating learning stimulating environments, is crucial for the future.
