The gym was my outlet. But my first few years were full of trial and error and I made my fair share of mistakes.

It’s funny how saying “I don’t drink” makes people more uncomfortable than saying “I drink every weekend.”

Think about that.

Choosing not to drink is seen as extreme.

But drinking every Friday and Saturday is “normal.”

The moment you have standards, people project.

“Live a little.”
“It’s not that serious.”
“You’re no fun.”

But no one questions the hangovers.
The poor sleep.
The wasted weekends.
The slow decline in energy and focus.

Sometimes the most polarizing thing you can do is have standards.

For your body.
For your time.
For your energy.
For your future.

And if you’re building a business, leading a team, raising a family — your standards matter.

Not everyone will understand them.

That’s kind of the point.

I used to eat to shut my brain off.

I remember days I didn’t want to be alive.

And I still went to the gym.

Not even because I was disciplined, or chasing a physique.

Honestly it was the only place that gave me relief from my thoughts.

For 60 minutes, my brain would quiet down. The anxiety and negative thoughts would pause.

At the time, I thought I was just surviving.

But that consistency was building something.

Resilience.

And proof that I could act regardless of how I felt.

Now you might not be in that dark of a place. (I hope not)

If your body feels worse every year, it’s not age.

It’s neglect.

My Japan trip coming up... has been making me so anxious.

Trust me, I know how absurd that sounds 😆

I love my structure and routine to a fault.

So I get anxiety around being away from work, my community, and my normal routine.

Around feeling this pressure to “get ahead.”

There’s so much uncertainty and unknown.

And that’s hard for me.

I like structure.
I like control.
I like knowing what the plan is.

I know once I’m there it’ll be great, like it always is.

I know I’ll be fully in the moment.

It’s the lead up that’s hard.

That feeling of stepping away.
Of not being “on.”
Of not controlling everything.

But I’ve realized something:

If everything in your life feels urgent and life-or-death... that’s usually a sign you’ve built your identity around being “on” all the time.

A lot of high performers struggle with this.

Rest feels irresponsible.
Travel feels disruptive.
Uncertainty feels threatening.

But here’s the shift:

If your business, your body, or your progress falls apart because you stepped away for a week… it wasn’t strong to begin with.

Real structure carries you automatically.

Real health doesn’t disappear because you miss a few workouts.

Real momentum doesn’t vanish because you rest.

The goal isn’t to be “on” forever.

The goal is to build something strong enough that you don’t have to be.

Everything is going to be fine (way better than you think actually).

And sometimes the thing creating anxiety is exactly what expands you.

That’s growth.

And that’s the whole point.

I built a body I love by showing up every day for 12 years.

I grew my business by showing up every day for 6 years.

I improved my mental health by showing up every day for 8 years.

But let’s be clear...

There were long stretches of doubt.

Seasons where I couldn’t see progress.
Where nothing felt like it was working.
Where I questioned if I should just give it all up.

Times where I was training hard and my body wasn’t changing.
Times in business where effort didn’t equal results.
Times mentally where I felt stuck.

That’s the part no one talks about.

Most growth happens in the boring middle.

The part where you’re busy, stressed, juggling work, family, responsibilities.

Doing the right things... but not seeing much yet.

That’s where most people quit.

Because it feels like it’s not working.

But if you zoom out, the only reason I have the results I do is because I didn’t stop in those seasons.

And I promise it’s not because I was more talented, had better genetics or had some secret.

I just kept showing up. 

That’s literally it 😂 

I showed up when it was inconvenient.
When it was frustrating.
When progress felt invisible.

If you keep showing up long enough, you make it very hard to lose.

Consistency feels small in the moment.

But over years it’s unstoppable.

I was literally about to post about how I never get sick.

The last time I got sick was probably 4–5 years ago around COVID.

And then of course last week... it got me.

High fever for a couple days and was completely wiped out.

I know exactly why too. I’d been overstressing and overextending myself. God has a funny way of forcing me to slow down.

But here’s what stood out.

The second I got sick, all the “urgent” work I had convinced myself was critical suddenly didn’t matter.

The client check-ins.
The deadlines.
The scheduled calls.
The content I had to write.

None of it felt urgent anymore.

The only thing that mattered was feeling normal again.
Being able to stand and walk without pain.
Thinking clearly.
Having a normal body temp.

And if you’re someone who runs a business, leads a team, provides for a family, carries a lot of responsibility...

You know that feeling.

Everything feels life or death. Until your body says otherwise.

It’s funny how many things feel essential…

Until you don’t have your health.

We treat it like it’s flexible. Like we’ll focus on it when things slow down.

But the second it’s compromised, it becomes the only thing that matters.

Protect the thing that makes everything else possible.

But what makes no sense is skipping the basics and jumping straight to the prescription as the only solution.

- sleep enough 
- manage stress 
- build structure

And a lot of things improve faster than people expect.

I was the victim.

Everyone was out to get me.

Every inconvenience set me off.

I was just pissed at the world.

For a long time, I let my mind run those same negative loops.

I was ultimately avoiding one big thing: 
Ownership.

I kept waiting for a magical way out of my miserable life.

For someone to come care for me, support me, and give me a hand out of it.

Day after daym month after month, year after year of clinging to that hope...

I was hit with a gut-wrenching realization.

No one was coming.

Not my boyfriend, family, coworkers, no one.

It was all on me.

It hit like a sucker punch to the gut.

All the fears and narratives of being unworthy and alone flooded in.

And then it hit me.

If no one was coming...

That meant it was up to me…

I held the power.

I had to do something for myself.
I had to stop playing the victim.

There was no other option.

After the initial pain wore off, that realization became freeing.

The pit in my stomach eased. The doors swung wide open.

That’s where real change began.

Because staying stuck had finally become harder than trying.

And this is where most people are without realizing it.

Waiting for clarity.
Waiting for motivation.
Waiting for life to slow down.
Waiting for someone to step in and make it easier.

But eventually, the waiting becomes heavier than the work.

And the moment you realize it’s on you is when things finally start to move.

Sometimes the most uncomfortable realization is also the one that gives you your life back.

For me in that moment I knew I couldn’t keep making excuses.

I saw how they were keeping me right where I was.

And let’s be real… it couldn’t get worse than where I was. 😂

I had nothing left to lose.

So I figured… why not just try.

Your reputation is the most valuable asset you have.

Not your job title, income or follower count.

Your character.

And your reputation is built by your actions — how you treat people, how you show up, what you do when no one’s watching.

Good character comes from living in alignment consistently.

Not just when it’s convenient.
Not just around certain people.
Not just when it benefits you.

And here’s the part most people overlook:

You also have a reputation with yourself.

And with fitness that reputation is built daily.

Do you train when it’s inconvenient?
Do you keep your word when work is busy?
Do you follow through when no one’s checking?

If you’re a leader, business owner, parent — someone others rely on — your body reflects your standards.

Every time you skip because you’re “too busy,” you reinforce one identity.

Every time you show up anyway, you reinforce another.

Fitness isn’t just physical.

It’s proof of alignment.

And the reputation you build with yourself is the one that compounds the most.

One of the easiest ways to ruin your metabolism:

Constantly under-eat and over-stress.

Skip meals.
Live on caffeine.
Train hard.
Sleep poorly.

Then wonder why your body isn’t responding like it used to.

I see this all the time.

You’re working out, eating “healthy”, putting in the effort.

But calories are too low and stress is too high.

So your body adapts.

Just not in the way you want.

Energy drops.
Fat loss stalls.
Hunger spikes.

Your metabolism isn’t broken.

It’s protecting you.

This is exactly why in Phase 1 of the Unbreakable Process, we don’t start with aggressive fat loss.

We rebuild.

We bring calories back up when needed.
We stabilize energy.
We fix meal structure.
We reduce stress.
We improve sleep.
We build strength.

We create a strong baseline again.

Because when your body feels safe and supported, fat loss becomes easy.

Most people try to diet harder when progress stalls.

We do the opposite.

• improves how you show up at work and at home

If fitness is draining you, it’s not a discipline problem.

When health is designed around your life, it gives you more of everything — not less.

You’re better off avoiding most You're better off avoiding all the main stream "health" advice out there.

Eat more meat, eggs and real foods.

Start lifting instead of doing endless cardio.

Work to get off your unnecessary medications.

Stop drinking everyday.

Move your body consistently.

Get outside and get sunlight.

That’s what actually improves quality of life.

Most people try to copy what they see online and wonder why nothing sticks.

All the other mainstream health advice wasn’t built for your schedule, stress or life.

Stick to the basics, find what you can do consistently and stick to it.

I spent my entire life savings on a coach

Recently it’s been a challenging season for me.

Business wise, relationship wise, identity wise.

Lot’s of things compounding at once.

Lot’s of doubt, anxiety, and uncertainty consuming me.

But in these times I try to zoom out

Instead of “why is this happening to me?”

I ask:

What is this teaching me?
What is God preparing me for?
What is the purpose in this season?

Because there’s always something there.

There’s always growth and a lesson to learn... even if it’s uncomfortable.

And usually my first instinct is to stress.

That’s my default setting actually 😂 

To focus on what feels off or uncertain.

But the more I sit with it, the more I realize...

Maybe this is God forcing me to slow down.

To take better care of myself.
To be more present.
To create the space I keep saying I want.

It doesn’t look how I thought it would.

But maybe that’s the point.

Instead of wasting this season spiraling about what’s not moving fast enough, I get to use it.

Use it to recharge, refocus and work on myself. Build the internal foundation so when things accelerate again, I’m ready.

Faith doesn’t mean you just sit back and hope.

You still do the work.

But you trust that even this — especially this — is shaping you.

And I’ve learned that leaning into that always pays off.

1. No one is coming to save you. If you don’t take ownership, nothing changes.

2. You don’t lack motivation. You lack consistency.

3. Most people don’t fail because they’re incapable. They fail because they quit when it gets inconvenient.

4. You can’t binge on weekends and expect weekday discipline to save you. It doesn’t work like that.

5. Sleep deprivation isn’t a badge of honor. It’s self-sabotage.

6. You say you want change. But your daily habits say you want comfort.

7. Being “busy” is often just avoidance. Especially when it comes to your health.

8. You don’t need another plan. You need to stop restarting every Monday.

9. If you can’t control your environment, it will control you. Food, people, stress, distractions.

10. Overtraining is usually insecurity in disguise. I learned that the hard way.

11. Restricting all week and overeating at night isn’t discipline. It’s a cycle.

12. High stress + low recovery = stalled progress. You can’t bully your body into responding.

13. Confidence isn’t built in hype moments. It’s built in boring follow-through.

14. “I’ll start when things calm down” is a lie. They won’t.

15. The life you want isn’t dramatic. It’s built in quiet, consistent decisions.

None of these truths are complicated.

They’re just inconvenient.

Growth usually is.
