Managing Director

SMALL BUSINESS EMARKETING LTD

I founded the business and now oversee the day-to-day operations, liaising with new and existing clients, organising the company's marketing activities, and delivering digital marketing services. My experience is using the full mix of digital marketing techniques to enable small businesses to maximise income using digital technologies (Paid search, Search Optimisation, Content Development, Email, Social and Local marketing).  

A recent client got more than two thousands of visitors to their website from Paid Search advertising,  social media advertising and developing content for their blog. I achieved this on a £60 budget over three months.

For another client, an international business networking organisation, we re-designed their website and got more than one hundred targeted followers in less than two weeks. Engagement with their social media contents (shares, mentions and share of voice) also increased to over twenty-nine thousand potential impressions in that time. 

Put simply, I develop detailed strategies for businesses to make money online. I also save business owners and managers time and money by doing their online marketing. Most importantly, I help businesses make money by getting leads and customers.

Omni Local Business Network - South Croydon

I organise and run the business networking meetings at South Croydon Omni Business Networking group. I am responsible for getting attendees to the breakfast meetings, responding to enquiries and making the network work for local business owners.

I organised Sutton's Children in Care Council and the production of the quarterly magazine for looked-after children and young people leaving care.

I managed and supported young service users to deliver training to social care professionals.

This short role ended due to the Council re-organising its services in the wake of the more chanllenging financial environment.

Participation Officer

Voice (now Coram Voice)

My responsibilities included overseeing the delivery of independent advocacy and the participation services to Sutton's children in care, leaving care and children/young people with disabilities. I was responsible for publicising and marketing the service.

As Voice had a predominantly telephone hotline-based system, I was one of the team of Helpline Coordinators that organised and supervised the work of the helpline staff and volunteers to deliver advocacy to looked-after children and young people leaving care across the UK.

I organised and ran participation events for younger children, Sutton's Children in Care Council as well as training events for Social Care professionals delivered by young service users. I also managed the production of the quarterly magazine for Sutton's children in care and care leavers.

I left the role after TUPE when Sutton Council decided to take the service in-house.

Advocacy Service Coordinator (Sutton)

My responsibilities included developing partnership relationships with potential funders, organising fundraising events and making funding applications to charitable funders. At the same time I was responsible for the day-to-day management of the Advocacy Service for looked-after children in the London Bough of Sutton, and Participation Services for children and young people with disabilities. 

I continued to be responsible for the production of the quarterly magazines for  Sutton's Looked-after children and young people leaving care, as well as for young people with disabilities. My participation role included organising conferences and training events for social care professionals that had children and young people as co-trainers. 

I also continued to be responsible for recruiting, training and supervising the team of advocacy and participation volunteers, seasonal workers and staff.

I wrote the content for Jigsaw4u's current website within my role.

Head of Service - Participation & Business Development

My responsibilities included the day-to-day management of volunteers and staff to deliver advocacy services to children in the care of London Borough of Sutton and Merton (for one year) under a Service Level Agreement. 

My role included recruiting, training and supervising volunteer advocates  in their role. I also published a quarterly newsletter for Sutton's looked after children and young people. 

In my time in the role, I delivered consultancy services: writing the looked-after children's information handbook for the Corporation of London in that time. I also created the Looked-after children's information handbook for the London Borough of Sutton. 

Furthermore, I was part of an expert team that was commissioned to write advocacy training materials for the Welsh Assembly in 2009.

I also wrote and delivered mentoring and teleworking training programs for City University, London.
