An impression is counted each time your post is displayed on a LinkedIn member's screen, whether or not they interact with it.
An impression is counted every time your post appears on someone's screen on LinkedIn. The member does not need to click, react or even stop scrolling: being displayed is enough.
Impressions count views of your post, including repeat views by the same person. Members reached counts unique people. If one person sees your post three times, that is three impressions but one member reached.
It depends on your follower count. As a rough rule, a post that reaches more impressions than you have followers is performing well, because it means LinkedIn distributed it beyond your network.

LinkedIn shows impressions per post natively, but history and trends are limited. A LinkedIn analytics tool lets you follow impressions over time and spot which formats earn the most distribution.
Taplio tracks your impressions, engagement rate and follower growth for every post you publish, and helps you write the next one.
