While this may seem like a small number, it means a lot to me. I recently saw a post saying, “No number of followers is small on this platform,” and I felt that.
So to everyone here, whether you’ve been here from the beginning or joined somewhere along the way, here’s a little re-introduction with 5 fun facts about me:

1️⃣ I have a love/hate relationship with the Northern Lights. I’ve chased them, manifested them, romanticised them… and still haven’t seen them. One day, hopefully.

2️⃣ I’m a shameless Canva + ChatGPT enjoyer (the dream duo). And yes, I talk to both like they’re my coworkers.

3️⃣ I get an irrational level of happiness when a LinkedIn post crosses even 10 likes. Micro-wins matter, and I fully celebrate them.

4️⃣ I can never pick a lane: half of me wants a cosy cabin in the woods, the other half wants the full city-girl marketing-agency life. 

5️⃣ I’ve recently become a Gilmore Girls fan, and I’m still deciding whether I relate more to Lorelai’s chaos or Rory’s ambition. 😂

Unpopular Opinion: Traditional marketing is overrated. Authentic storytelling and community engagement are the real drivers of brand growth today.

Most brands put all their energy into flashy ads and sales tactics. But people care more about what feels real. They want stories they relate to and see brands act in ways that line up with their values.

A brand isn’t just a logo or a catchy slogan. It’s how people feel about what you stand for. If you’re only doing things the old way, it might be time to switch it up.

For my sustainability campaign with Swansea Bay NHS, I used a pop culture twist to connect with the audience. I took the Bridgerton character Lady Whistledown and turned her into "Lady Turnitodwn," writing updates in the Bridgerton style. By matching the tone and brand voice to something people already loved, the message became fun, memorable, and engaging.

It worked so well that the campaign went on to win an award at the prestigious IHEEM conference.
