In particular, Skyloom is working on the deployment of a laser-based data transfer network to provide immediate and high-capacity communication services for low Earth orbit satellite constellations, whether they’re observing the planet or communicating with it.

I took a sabbatical that allowed me to reconnect with activities like sports and spend more valuable time with my family, especially with my children. I also traveled and met new people, which enriched me and offered fresh perspectives as I reflected on different experiences. I dedicated time to my friends and partner as well, enjoying relaxed conversations that brought me a sense of well-being and new ways of seeing life. This time off has been a true period of growth and learning, recharging me for the challenges ahead.

Sabbatical

Globant

• Responsible for running Analyst Relations in a complex multi-product multi-analyst coverage organization.
• Coordinate internal resources and personnel at Globant to participate in inquiries or briefings, while managing a two-way dialogue with analysts, handling all their inquiries, communicating Globant updates.
• Serve as Globant’s ambassador in ongoing analyst discussions and at industry conferences, reinforcing the company’s commitment to industry engagement.
• Complete RFIs with major evaluations (Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Waves, etc).

Director Analyst Relations

• Responsible for establishing and managing the relationship with the most strategic customers for Globant.
• Leading a 1.200+ people team of Technology, Operations and Business, fully focused to achieve delivery results, build long term partnerships and acquire a deep understanding of the key drivers of our clients, to tie those drivers to our value offering and grow the relationship.

•	Responsible for the design and implementation of the development strategies of the Latin American market. 
•	Along with a team of specialists in digital transformation processes, focused on accompanying the most demanding companies ensuring that they remain relevant in an increasingly competitive world.

•	Responsible for Globant’s Services over Platforms offering, including the StarmeUp OS, supervising product strategy, engineering and the design teams.

•	In charge of the strategy and execution for some of Globant’s most important projects and for bringing new customers.

•	Responsible of founding the Consumer Experience Studio, its growth & financial results, monitoring business health and accountable for key indicators like revenue, margin, attrition and customer satisfaction. 
•	In charge of the definition and execution of the marketing, demand generation and business development strategy.

Consumer Experience Studio Partner

•	In charge of ramping-up the operation in the West Coast and opening the office in California to develop and execute the growth plan for the region.
•	Responsible for handling the relationship with some of the most important customers, including Google, Sabre, Autodesk, Yahoo! and Linkedin.
•	Led the sales and operations teams in the region to increase the revenue and the US footprint.
•	Monitored accounts' progress and established strong business relationships with key decision makers.

•	Focused on the creation and implementation of business development programs, marketing and selling strategies by working with strategic partners in South America, such as Accenture, IBM Global Services, Soluziona, Altec, DMR, Focus Business Solutions, among others.
•	Managed the sales team for the entire sales cycle for Large Corporate Accounts from client identification, partner alignment, account development, contract and price negotiations to closing.
•	Responsible for implementing the Revenue Storm methodology in the Sales team, aligning the rest of the Business Units of the Organization.

Before embarking on a transformative sabbatical, I led Analyst Relations at Globant, contributing to its remarkable growth from a 80-person startup to a global technology powerhouse. During my tenure, I managed diverse areas, including overseeing operations in Latin America and the West Coast of the US and launching the Software Division. These experiences shaped my perspective on adaptability, resilience, and strategic vision in dynamic environments.

With over 20 years in executive leadership and consulting roles at multinational companies, I now focus on advising startups and organizations on digital transformation, strategy, and the ever-evolving AI paradigm. My advisory portfolio includes Alephee, a YC-backed AI company, and Skyloom Global, a pioneer in laser-based satellite communications, where I’ve contributed for over five years.

Currently, I’m thrilled to be part of the team at CloudX, where I navigate complex challenges with curiosity and purpose. Beyond work, my travels—logging over 3 million miles with American Airlines—have deepened my appreciation for diverse cultures and the human connections that fuel innovation.

Teaching high school students has also been a humbling and rewarding endeavor. It reminds me that curiosity and creativity are foundational to leadership and technological progress.

As a speaker and consultant, I’m passionate about guiding organizations through digital transformation, focusing on the intersection of cutting-edge technology and human-centric values.

On the personal side, I hold an Executive MBA from IAE Business School and a Bachelor’s in Systems and Sciences from CAECE University. Outside of work, I find joy in the unexpected—whether it’s playing with drones, doing extreme sports, or simply exploring new horizons.

What does it take for a bold idea to become a milestone for an entire industry? Skyloom Global’s story is a perfect example.

If you’ve ever invested in a startup, you know it’s more than just about the product or the technology. It’s mostly about the team: their vision, their grit, and their ability to turn ambition into reality. 

I still remember meeting Marcos D. Franceschini for the first time, as he pitched the idea he had developed with Santiago Tempone and Andy Rodriguez. Their mission was audacious: to transform satellite communications with optical technology, moving data across space at high speeds. Even with a technical background, I found myself challenged by the scale of their ambition. But beyond the novelty of their mission (risky, yet very grounded) the founders’ relentless drive and clarity of purpose convinced me to say “yes”.

Eight years later, Skyloom is entering into an agreement to be acquired by IonQ, the world’s leading quantum platform company. IonQ is expanding its reach into space-based quantum networking, building on a series of acquisitions to create a full-stack quantum ecosystem. Backed by $3.5B in new funding, this move accelerates the vision for a quantum-secure, fault-tolerant infrastructure that spans both ground and space.

In deep tech, the odds are long, and the vision often sounds like science fiction. But this milestone is a validation of what happens when a bold vision, technical brilliance, and a well-crafted business plan come together.

4 roadblocks between your organization and Agentic AI

AI is transforming the world’s largest enterprises. But if you’re leading a small, mid-sized, or even a large organization that isn’t a tech giant, you might feel like you’re just a viewer, not a main character.

What’s holding you back?

Budget matters in the GenAI divide, but so do organizational readiness, strategy, and access.

1. Data readiness
Many organizations struggle to get their data in order. Without unified, clean, accessible data, even advanced AI agents can’t deliver results. For example, one retail client had customer data scattered across tools, so AI recommendations failed. Once we helped them unify and clean their data, the impact was immediate.

2. Cost and solution fit
The cost of robust and scalable AI remains a hurdle. Off-the-shelf tools rarely address unique pain points, forcing a choice between expensive custom solutions or suboptimal results. For many, the business case is clear, but the path to ROI is clouded by up-front investment and uncertainty. 3. Maturity gap
Some companies deploy agentic solutions that autonomously perform complex tasks, while others limit themselves to agents that only answer questions or assist with tasks — never fully unleashing AI’s potential. The most mature organizations operationalize “do it” agents, while those still experimenting remain stuck, often due to unclear strategy or concerns about safe implementation. For instance, a banking client had several AI pilots but no unified approach. After aligning leadership and processes, those pilots became autonomous, production-ready agentic solutions.

4. Access to world-class AI
Nahuel Vigna (CEO at CloudX) recently noted: “access to world-class AI should not be a privilege reserved for the few”. His words echo what I hear from executives across industries: many small and mid-sized organizations are being left behind, as they often lack the resources or partnerships to leverage cutting-edge AI.

According to the World Bank, SMEs account for 90% of businesses, 60-70% of employment and 50% of GDP worldwide. If the promise of AI is to transform industries, we can’t afford to leave most of the market on the bench. The organizations struggling to cross the GenAI divide are the same ones that drive jobs, innovation, and community impact.

So, what’s the path forward?

As technologists, we have a responsibility to close this gap. That means building agentic solutions that are accessible, secure, and truly scalable. It means helping every motivated organization move from simply asking AI for help to confidently letting AI drive outcomes.
