Alongwith the curation of articles, my added responsibilities included proofreading other articles, managing and mentoring the junior members on several occassions.

I also was part of the decision making interview panel for recruitment of freshers to our VESITConnect team.

This experience has led to an exponential growth in my teamwork and management skills and has been one of the best experiences of my life!

My primary responsibility entailed curating articles for the monthly college newsletter based on the events that would take place in or affiliated with our college, VESIT. 

I also conducted interviews of several students, teachers, staff members, alumni and other esteemed guests to collect relevant information about the sessions.

I also had the opportunity of working alongside the team towards the writing and designing of our college yearly magazine "Vishwakarma" in 2017 and 2018.

This experience has been vital in building up my foundational storytelling and reporting skills, alongside improving my linguistic capabilities and a plethora of other soft skills in the process!

You can live without much compromise

And still have amazing financial health!

But...

You can't have everything!

So, how do you do this?

Establish spending boundaries.

I have 3 uninterrupted spends -

👉 Comfort during travel
👉 Gifts for my family
👉 Amazing Food

I don't care about the price tag for these.

Does that mean being reckless?
Nope!

The upper limit is 20-30% of my monthly budget!
(Yours will vary as per your financial health)

And I control spending on everything else

So...

Choose any 2-3 such categories for you

It could be shoes, watches, movies, or anything that YOU LOVE!

And spend money on it GUILT FREE!
(maintaining that upper limit)

People talk about maintaining the balance between saving and living...

This is how I do it, responsibly! :)

It's not about stopping your spends
It's about optimizing it!

How I spend 9+ hours DAILY on LinkedIn!

I wrote this post at 4:30am!

While thinking about those dreadful days...

In the pitch dark room.

With moonlight peeking through curtains

As I tried to close my eyes

It took me back to junior high school

Walking through those corridors

I was the skinniest I have ever been
But every step felt heavy...

Laughter and smiles all around me

As I zone out into my thoughts!

👉 A lifeless soul
👉 A shattered heart
👉 An emotionless face
👉 A barely functional mind

It was a tough morning
Every morning was tough back then.

A smile from a stranger would make my day

And one simple taunt

Would haunt me for weeks...

But I had to stay silent.

Nobody could know what was going on.

But I wondered when it would end

I tried everyday to distract my mind

But how can you outrun reality?
I couldn't.

That was 9 years ago.

Well, life is good now!

And I don't live in those memories anymore.

But on some days...

I walk through those corridors
To remind myself about how far I've come!
