I believe that artists are the pioneers of the human mind with great potential and responsibility to positively influence society through proper representation and accountability. Having been homeless at 14, it comes as a surprise to most that I launched my first company by 25, graduated university with Honors, obtained a BA in International Business, Managerial Leadership and Entrepreneurship, attended law school and owned multiple businesses. As a savvy businesswoman with a long career spanning multiple sectors in different capacities, I've experienced the ups and downs of the corporate world and entrepreneurship. Ultimately, it’s been my creativity, understanding of media, marketing and business practices that has yielded success in different ways. As an individual: I offer an opportunity to see and speak with a broken stereotype. I represent diversity and multiculturalism. I share my story to inspire others and I’m humbled by the responses I receive. As the founder of UNSUGARCOATED™Media, a 501c3 media enterprise, I'm using podcasts, print publications, short documentaries, events, and more to tell stories of empowerment in the face of adversity and trauma. "UNSUGARCOATED with Aalia" has served audiences as a social good show to audiences in 70+ countries as an educational platform, featuring interviews of public figures and everyday people, self-improvement segments, with empowering themes intended to have a strong sense of advocacy. As an impact investor and COO of Convergence Media Law, we provide equity in a variety of ways in support of several projects and organizations in the film and entertainment space. I serve the G100 Club as the USA Country Chair for the Media Arts & Communications Sector. G100 is an action + think tank with a global, cross-cultural, intersectional and intentional perspective toward peace, parity and prosperity for all. It comprises a league of luminaries of eminence and excellence including Nobel Laureates, former Heads of States, Ministers, Businesswomen, Philanthropists, Investors, Corporate and Community Leaders – a powerful club and group of women leaders from all walks of life who wish to give back and move us all forward as architects of the future. I collaborate with Awareness Ties as an Ambassador for Domestic Violence and an exclusive monthly columnist for AwareNow Magazine.
