Pathways to Banking & Finance National Conference, 9th to 11th July 
Day 1️⃣
• Economics lecture with Warwick professor looking at deficits and debt dynamics quantitatively via derivatives at undergraduate level.
• Motivational talk delivered by Kamal Ellis-Hyman founder of 'Aim A Little Higher' on 'potential'. 
• Finished the day with a campus tour and watching 🇪🇸 vs 🇨🇵.
Day 2️⃣
• Debating workshop w/ Debate Mate.
• Commercial awareness skills w/ Deutsche Bank.
• Interactive trading simulation w/ Citi Bank.
 - Analysed Financial Times articles and traded FTSE 100, Unilever, Tesla and cash.
• Finished the day by playing football with the rest of the cohort and watching 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 vs 🇳🇱.
Day 3️⃣
• 'Meet the professionals' session, which included a Q&A on their job and career progression. 
• Spotlight session 1 w/ Orbis Investment. 
• Spotlight session 2 w/ PwC. 
• Networking session with Antin, Alpha, Brewin Dolphin, HSBC, First Sentiers, Orbis Investment and PwC. 

Overall, this event provided me with a valuable insight into the Banking & Finance sector, and Economics at undergraduate level. I also networked with individuals from the University of Leicester, Liverpool and LSE.

Deutsche Bank

Attended a pre-placement insight day at Deutsche Bank in Birmingham. 

Networked with professionals from various financial services firms such as Goldman Sachs, HSBC, PwC, Deutsche Bank and Brewin Dolphin. 

Gained this opportunity through Sutton Trust Pathways to Banking & Finance program.
