Future barrister and thriving humanitarian. I’m an LLB student building the dream of receiving a pupillage offer. My experience in criminal courts has brought my attention the injustices which can occur in a system on the brink. In 2022, I shadowed a judge in a Nightingale Crown Court, where I saw firsthand the impact and need for perceptive advocates ensuring lives do not become casualties of growing backlogs. I am passionate about supporting those in need, particularly young people and individuals from underrepresented groups. I remain an active part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Society at my university, as its founder and President. In addition, I also dedicate spare time in helping the homelessness charity Shelter, as a Voluntary Supervisor in one of their Community Retail hubs. My work in various capacities, including those outlined above, has recently been recognised by me being awarded the Leading Inclusivity (Students) Award from my Students’ Union. I hope that my work ethic and skills will lead to a greater sense of justice both within and outside of the courtroom.
