Taxation: * Built the telco tax database product that became part of taxrates.com, now part of Avalara. Routing: * Implemented Kamailio Session Border Controller (SBC) to handle the largest internal DNC list that was used by approximately 110 telemarketers and call centers, on behalf of Engage Telecom. * Invented AggravationSense, which measured cadence and volume in phone calls, to automatically and proactively bridge in a customer service supervisor in the midst of a heated phone call (FNCB); Compliance: * Designed a comprehensive historical DNC database for use with the FTC's DNC data; Soft-Switching: * Created Canvas, a programming language for use with Dialogic and Natural Microsystems (NMS) line cards to dynamically route phone calls based upon scripting; Patents: * Co-authored the first (now abandoned) patent application for packetization of telephone traffic (coloqually known as "VOIP"); Hardware Engagements: • Designed the re-instrumentation of Controllers for Nuclear Fuel Handlers; (Atlantic Nuclear, Energie Canada); * Designed the re-instrumentation for Patriot Missile consoles (trainers) for SAIC. * Designed the re-instrumentationFAA Instrumentation for flight controller trainers for Kongsberg Gallium; Credit Reporting: * Created a large scale XML to TCP translation engine for supporting X.25 (dialup) credit reporting on behalf of one of a partner of the largest credit reporting agency in the world.
