I took this role when we decided to merge all our brands into one. I got the opportunity to build it from scratch, starting from where we wish to head now, to setting up the brand positioning, naming the brand, logo, brand colors, website, assets and everything else what it takes to build a brand.

Marketing something that never existed in the first place, without a brand name, is indeed challenging but satisfying af 😎

As the head of Web Operations, I was managing and driving the entire web division, including but not limited to acquiring new clients, setting up the right expectations, till retaining.

I was heading a team of 20+, including project managers, developers & designers. Starting from recruitment, pay, training, allocating tasks or projects on day-to-day basis, empowering each with the rightful long-term career path.

I was managing 45+ clients for their web projects. I was responsible for end-to-end operations, including project understanding, scoping, creating project plans with proper milestones and deadlines, strict quality assurance practices, till successful project deliveries.

As a track-record, during my tenure none of the clients & team members left the organization, apart from the reasons beyond their own control. 
Known for excellent services, to an extend where relations played a bigger role than quality.

Personalized approach for each client, with a vision to provide perfection, made an impact.

Head Of Web Operations

As the marketing manager, I was responsible everything around Sales, Branding & Marketing. 

- Octos grew from 4 people to 100+ within 5 years, with an extremely niche market in terms of service industry, and target audience as small as 7% of the United States.
- Octos was named one of the top 16 paid marketing agencies, around Australia & New Zealand.
- Octos participated as a sponsor, and exhibited in a few of the famous Australian digital events, Millennial Marketing Conference, Sydney was one of them.
- Octos helped 15+ Non-Profit Organizations of Australia, including Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, Breast Cancer Network Australia, The Funding Network, HeartKids, Sands etc to spread awareness, raise funds through our initiative of #givingbacktocommunity, which was ideated, implemented, marketed by me.
- Octos conducted workshops for business owners, in collaboration with Google.

-- “The mascot is coming out a little funny for some of our clients, we’ve stopped using it. I think a fresher approach is required.”

That was the problem shared around mid-2017, and I worked towards a complete make-over of the entire brand. I was behind the re-brand, starting from the new logo, new positioning, new brand colors, to the new website.

All types of branding materials, collateral, proposals, pitch docs, rate-cards, landing pages, ad-copies, banners, content writing were part of the responsibility.

Marketing Manager

Octos was a search marketing agency, however considering web is an integral part of search, there was an on-going demand of the same.

Web started in order to provide one-stop solution, where I was responsible for managing Web requirements. Understanding the scope, and getting it done through a team was the major role.

As a person who enjoys ownership, I was managing the client, ensuring timely reports / updates were given, and was controlling every project with the team to ensure expectations are being met.

I started as a brand marketing executive in July 2013, which is also the foundation month of Octos.

Octos was a search marketing agency, started with a vision to provide the best of both worlds, quality services at a competitive rate, which was at that time not everyone was able to provide, and most of the businesses were starting to loose their trust from outsourcing agencies. Octos was founded to re-gain their trust.

I was responsible to work towards growing the business, in first 3 months I was able to develop interests of 30+ digital agencies to discuss the possible synergies in working together.

Educational Initiatives

This project was to conduct a large scale assessment for all the government run schools, which were sponsored by Torrent Power, in order to provide better education, exactly in the subjects where the student lacks.

I was responsible to strategize, plan & execute the entire project. I single-handedly sourced and recruited 18+ team members within 1 weeks time, successfully conducted the assessment exams of 50,000+ papers, for 4,800 students, from 24 schools, in 4 different districts/locations, within 2 weeks time. 

This included providing training to each and every recruit to monitor the classes, educate the students about the exams, and manually assessing each and every paper filled by the students.

This included planning the exam time-table, keeping in mind which subjects to be taken when, which employee to report at what time, managing proper transportation and food, school timings and their districts, considering public holidays, etc.

This included visiting each and every school, talking to the principles, educating them and ensuring maximum presence.

This included getting manually checked all the 50,000+ papers within a tight deadline, ensuring 100% accuracy is maintained.

Large Scale Assessment Manager - Torrent Project

I worked here as a support for their data quality assurance of large scale assessments. I was able to double their analysis speed through smart work-around, decreased the errors by more than 200%, which resulted is better and quicker assessments.
