I am currently leading the Finance Function for Manufacturing, Contracting and Trading businesses of Abdulla Fouad Group in the Oil & Energy Sectors. This includes managing the Internal Controls & Financial Reporting Processes, Managing the treasury (funded /non-funded facilities), Apprising the AFG Corporate Head Office management of business performance, and providing financial advice to the businesses across various segments/territories. 
The Oil & Energy business of the group has been in operation since 1948 and is currently spread across KSA, UAE, Qatar & Bahrain. The businesses operate through 5 separate Legal Entities with various levels of consolidations. This exposure to a diverse Regulatory & Taxation environment has been an ever-challenging but enriching experience.

Abdulla Fouad Impalloy Company is the largest manufacturer of Cathodic Protection Equipment in Middle East with its state of the art manufacturing facility in 1st Industrial City Dammam. AFIC was formed in 1982 as a joint venture between Abdulla Fouad and Impalloy Ltd of the United Kingdom. The combination of Abdulla Fouad Group's success in Saudi Arabian heavy industry combined with Impalloy’s reputation as a world class Cathodic Protection provider, produced a company capable of meeting the unique needs of the CP market in the Middle East. In 1998, Abdulla Fouad acquired the company to convert into a 100% Saudi owned entity.

Khaled Juffali Industrial Company

Khaled Juffali Industrial Company is a subsidiary of Khaled Juffali Gruop, representing the group in Oil & Energy Construction sector. In my role as Head of Finance & Accounts function of the company, my responsibilities include:

i)	Forecasting the funding needs of the company for current as well as upcoming projects and making arrangements that appropriate funded and non-funded facilities are in place. 
ii)	Ensuring that the company's financial resources are utilized in optimized fashion and the operational activities are buffered against time lags between cash inflows and outflows.
iii)	Developing and implementing control environment within the company to minimize risk exposure.
iv)	Reviewing the estimations and bids for upcoming projects.
v)	Preparing and presenting the monthly management reports for the CEO and the Members of the Board.
vi)	Reviewing the cost reports of the projects and advising company’s management regarding projects’ performance.
vii)	Reviewing the administrative activities of the company and restructuring them to ensure optimum resource utilization.
viii)	Reviewing the procurement processes of the company and ensuring that the historical records of purchases are appropriately maintained and consulted for future procurement.

Interloop is a North America based diversified group, dealing in garments & hosiery products having operation in USA, Central America, Europe, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, . It currently holds the title of world’s largest socks manufacturing organization with annual turnover exceeding $300 Million and headcount exceeding 15,000 employees.

I worked as Head of "Budgetary Planning / ERP" unit of Finance Department. I was mainly responsible for budget planning for 16 manufacturing and services departments of the company, Oracle R12 ERP coordination between Finance and MIS department, new projects feasibility studies & reporting to Board of Directors for significant budgetary variances. The position also includes coordination with internal departments for development of budgets and to take remedial actions where expenses cross budgeted boundaries.

Descon Engineering is a pioneer in Engineering & Construction industry of Pakistan having subsidiaries and joint ventures around the globe. During my tenure with Descon my main responsibilities included:

•	Preparing Monthly Analytical Studies of Construction Projects and Analyzing Costs incurred with Budgeted Results thereon. 
•	Coordinating with the Project Manager, Site Manager and Other Members of Project team regarding the Project Status and preparing Quarterly Latest Forecasts on the basis of information provided.
•	Monitoring the Overall Progress of the Projects on day to day basis and analyzing the Target Completion Dates with Actual Progress.
•	Assisting Financial Controller of Business Area in preparing Cost and Payments Analysis regarding Investment decisions and Projects.
•	Monitoring the work of Site Accountants and Reviewing Daily and Monthly Reports assigned to them.
•	Being part of SAP Implementation team for implementing SAP in Plant Construction & Services Business Area.

My key roles and responsibilities during my association with PwC includes:

- Effective planning through business and audit risk assessment activities, supervision and review of the audit and non-audit engagements to meet challenging deadlines.
- Liaising with, and developing good working relationships with the client to deliver engagement expectations.
- For audit engagements, ensuring compliance and application of knowledge with respect to the requirements of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Understanding of entity's process flows and analysis of design and effectiveness of various internal controls.
- For audits and internal control assignments, evaluation of internal control framework, identifying control deficiencies making appropriate recommendations to the management for the weaknesses identified.
- Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements and group reporting packages in accordance with IFRS and SOCPA standards
- Involvement in decision-making for resolution of critical/significant reportable matters.
- Acting as a team leader at all audit engagements, including supervision, training and motivation of team members and appropriate review of their work.
- Co-ordination with experts in various fields like legal, tax and IT professionals.

My experience to date with PwC has enabled me to develop comprehensive understanding of the competitive and regulatory environments of various industries with in-depth knowledge of key business processes, accounting and internal control systems.
