The Project is Rehabilitation and Modernization of Islam Barrage Project and the scope, inter-alia, includes review of design, preparation/ floating of Bidding Documents and awarding of Contract under the ADB's guidelines through an ICB Contract and then supervision by four well reputed Consultancy firms of Pakistan. The Employer is Punjab Irrigation Department. Originally the Barrage was constructed in 1927-1929 with discharged capacity of 300000 Cusecs. The new scope, inter-alia, includes the enhancement of discharged capacity from 300000 Cusecs to 332000 Cusecs. The Completion Period including Defect Notification is 36 months.

 Project: TPBIP/ICB-01. Punjab Irrigation Department(Employer) & M/s SINIHYDRO Corporation(Con.)

The project is, "REHABILITATION AND UPGRADING OF TRIMMU BARRAGE CONTRACT NO. TPBIP / ICB-01(ADB funded). Duties, inter alia include:
if any dispute is referred to the Dispute Board (DB) in accordance with Sub-Clause 20.4 (FIDIC Red 1999) of the Conditions of Contract, the DB shall proceed in accordance with Sub-Clause 20.4 and the Rules therein. Subject to the time allowed to give notice of a decision and other relevant factors, the DAB shall:
(a) 	Act fairly and impartially as between the Employer and the Contractor, giving each of them a reasonable opportunity of putting his case and responding to the other's case, and
(b)	Adopt procedures suitable to the dispute, avoiding unnecessary delay or expense.

Assist the Client/Consultant to select an appropriate form of contract, suitable to the project. The project is WB funded, therefore liaison with them regarding their queries.Assist the Client/consultant in framing an appropriate manual of Contract.
• Timely Review of the Bidding Documents regarding civil works in accordance with Contract and assist NTDC's Project Management Unit (PMU) to ensure the compatibility of the Bid/Tender documents with the project requirements and in accordance with the the appropriate version of World Bank's Standard Bidding Documents.
Take care of structural design, contract and claim matters.• Assist the PD (PMU) in any Structural and/or Contractual issue, required by PMU or any other issue relating civil engineering expertly including Participation in the Dispute Review Board meetings, arbitration proceedings and if required by the PMU then attend, explain and discuss issues raised by the Contractor/ Consultant or DRB members, Arbitrators. Assist in undertaking project performance monitoring and evaluation in accordance with the framework of the Project.

The Project is ‘Rehabilitation & Modernization of Jinnah Barrage; Civil, Mechanical & Electrical and Barrage Colony Works. Client is Irrigation Department, Government of the Punjab through their Project Management Office (PMO) and ‘the Engineer’ is the JV of Associated Consulting Engineers Pakistan – ACE (Pvt.) Ltd. Pakistan National Engineering Services Pakistan – NESPAK Pvt. Ltd. SMEC International Pty. Ltd. Australia. Contractor is the JV of M/s DESCON Engineering Ltd. And M/s China National Electric Wire & Cable Imp./Exp. Corp. (CCC). The duties, inter alia, include capacity building to the PMO procurement unit, overseeing of working of consultants/contractor engaged by PMO. In addition assistance to Project Manager (PM) in responding to the Contractor of his notices including detailed claims and project management through project programme is included in assignment.
