Everyone’s flexing their wins on LinkedIn

Humble brags.
The “just signed another client” posts.

And there I was… sitting in my flat thinking:

Do I share my struggles and risk people thinking I’m weak.

Or do I share only my wins and risk feeling like a fraud.

But then I realized that’s the trap: Authenticity vs Authority.

And most b2b founders are secretly paralyzed by it.

You simply don’t know whether to open up… or just keep performing.

But what I've realized from other successful creators and entrepreneurs on Linkedin:

Authority without authenticity makes you look fake.

And authenticity without authority makes you look unstable.

But the real power is building authority through authenticity.

This is where my Mirror Method comes in and here’s how it goes:

1️⃣ You should write like you’re texting your past self.

If it wouldn’t have helped the “you” from 2 years ago, don’t post it.

2️⃣ Lead with the scar, not the wound.

Not a lot of people trust someone who’s bleeding out in real-time. But showing the scar shows that “I’ve been through this, here’s how I fixed it.”

3️⃣ Proof > polish. Always

Instead of flexing revenue, screenshot your messy Notion board. Instead of a beach laptop selfie, share the process that got you there.

4️⃣ Swap vulnerability for credibility.

Vulnerability says, “I failed.”
Credibility says, “Here’s how I turned it around.”
See the shift? They have the same story but different angle.


5️⃣ Trigger > Teach.

Your post doesn’t need to inform everyone. It only needs to make someone feel something. Anything. 

Shock them. Stir them. Drag them into your world. That’s how they remember you.

Let me give you an example:

One of my clients (a coach) came to me literally terrified of posting on Instagram.

She had drafted 37 posts but never hit publish.

Because in her mind she's thinking:

“Okay, if I share my struggles, people won’t take me seriously. They would think I'm weak".

So we applied the Mirror Method.

And she rewrote one of those drafts as if she was texting her 2020-self.

We reframed her failures as scars she had healed.

But more importantly, we made sure it punched instead of polished.

Her first post got 18,000 views on Instagram with 5 DMs.

So if this is you, just know this:

The posts you’re scared to share are the ones that might position you as an authority. 

You'll never know until you try.

Because nobody trusts a highlight reel anymore.

They trust the person who has lived the experience and has the strategy.

3 Years Ago, I Nearly Burnt My Business To The Ground 

Because I refused to delegate 

I thought keeping control made me look like a serious founder.

One Tuesday afternoon, I worked 74 hours and still missed a client deadline because I was hoarding tasks I shouldn't have

That’s when I built something I now call.. The 70% Rule.

Here's what it looks like: 

👉 If someone can do the task 70% as well as me, it’s gone. Off my plate.
👉 That missing 30%? I fill them with feedback loops, not control.
👉 Within 2 weeks, I had more headspace than I had in 2 years.

And the wildest part is the work got better without me micromanaging.

Clients were happier.

Revenue went up.

Because the truth is, delegation isn’t just about trusting others.

It’s also about finally trusting yourself enough to let go.

I almost deleted my LinkedIn last year.

Right Before It Made Me the Most Money Ever

Not because it wasn’t working… but because it was working too well.

My inbox was full. My content calendar was stacked. My notifications were a  hell of a nightmare.

And yet… I was done.

Not “I need a break” kinda done.

I mean existential-crisis, I-hate-my-own-brand done.

Because I realized something crazy:

You can grow so fast that you actually disconnect from your own audience.

That’s exactly what happened to my client, Sam.

When Sam came to me, he was posting 3 times a day, across 4 platforms, with a VA scheduling content a month in advance.

He had the “perfect” system… but still hated it.

His followers went up. Yes!

So did his reach too

But his connection went down.

And when the connection goes away

The conversions die with it.

So I gave Sam what I now call The Campfire Scaling Method.

Here’s the rule:

You can only scale content if every new follower still feels like they’ve pulled up a chair at your campfire.

And it works like this:

Step 1 – Burn the Script

If you sound like a social media template, you’re dead. 

I made Sam delete half his “polished” posts and replace them with raw, in-the-moment stories from his week. His engagement doubled in 2 weeks.

Step 2 – Keep a Campfire Log

Instead of a generic content calendar, Sam keeps a Google Doc where he drops daily voice notes about client calls, random ideas, and even failed experiments. 

That’s his goldmine for posts that feel alive, not recycled.

Step 3 – The 3 DM Rule

For every post, reply to at least 3 DMs with genuine voice notes or Loom videos. 

This turns followers into friends, and friends into clients faster than any funnel you’ve seen.

Step 4 – The Shadow Pass

Once a month, spend a day quietly watching your audience without posting. See what they’re talking about when you’re not there. That’s where your next 10 viral posts are hiding.

Step 5 – Protect the Flame

No more than 2 hours a day on social and Sam sets a literal kitchen timer. 

When it’s done, it’s done. Connection beats quantity, every time.

And within 60 days of doing this, Sam didn’t just scale.

He scaled and felt really good doing it

His inbound leads tripled, and his sales calls stopped feeling like sales calls. 

They were just warm catch-ups with people who already trusted him.

Because if you scale like a machine

Your audience will treat you like one.

If you scale like a human, your audience will follow you anywhere.

The hustle gurus lied: posting more won’t make you relevant.

I used to think the only way to “stay relevant” online was to be everywhere.

LinkedIn.
Instagram.
TikTok.
Twitter.
Email.
Youtube.

Hell, probably carrier pigeons if someone told me it worked.

And you know what happened?

I wasn’t relevant anywhere.

I was just exhausted.

Posting a lot of sh*t I didn’t really care about.

For an audience who couldn’t even tell if I was serious or just copy-pasting GaryVee quotes.

But doing all of that made me realize something:

👉 Being everywhere doesn’t make you relevant.
👉 Being unforgettable in one place does.

That’s when I built something I now call The Echo Strategy.

It’s really simple, but it changed my business.

Instead of trying to create new content for every platform

I made one “core post” each week that I was actually proud of

The kind of post that punched people in the gut.

Then I broke it into echoes.

A tweet that felt like a mic drop.

A story that felt like a DM.

A short clip that felt like we were on FaceTime with our audience.

Same idea. But different echoes.

And suddenly… people started recognizing my voice.

Not because I was loud.

But because I was consistent.

I did this with one of my clients (a business coach). 

She went from burning out posting on 5 platforms a day → to writing ONE weekly power post and echoing it across her channels.

And In 90 days:

⚡ Her engagement doubled.
⚡ She closed 3 dream clients in the first 2 weeks
⚡ And she finally had free evenings to work on her new book

So relevance isn’t about presence.

It’s about resonance.

The internet doesn’t reward the loudest person in the room.

It rewards the one whose message keeps echoing in people’s heads even after they log off.

Your onboarding process isn’t broken because of systems

It’s broken because of you.

Onboarding is the one thing every founder swears they’ll “get right later.”

And it’s the exact reason they keep losing clients, time, and their complete sanity.

I used to think the problem was SOPs.

Or some fancy Notion dashboards.

Or adding another “welcome email” to make it feel personal.

But the truth is:

Onboarding breaks because you’re designing it for YOU, not for THEM.

I learnt this the hard way.

Two years ago, I onboarded a client who ghosted me just 3 weeks in.

Not because the work was bad.

Not because the results weren’t coming.

But because they felt like just another line item on my to-do list.

And that stung like a bee

So I scrapped my whole process and created something I call The 72-Hour Rule

Here’s how it works 👇

1️⃣ Day 1 is The Emotional Lock-In

Forget contracts and invoices for a sec.

I send my clients a personal Loom, walking them through the vision of what we’re building together 

This is so they feel like part of something bigger than just a project.

2️⃣ Day 2 is Micro-Win Delivery

I deliver a tiny, almost stupid-simple result (something that takes me less than an hour).

Because if they feel momentum immediately, they’ll never doubt me later.

3️⃣ Day 3 is Ritual Creation

I set up a recurring anchor that is a weekly ritual 

(could be a call, a voice note, or even a Friday meme check-in).

Why? Well, because rituals create safety. Safety creates trust. 

And trust keeps clients.

And what happened was incredible 

Once I started using this system, not a single client ghosted.

My retention doubled.

Referrals went up without me asking.

Because onboarding isn’t about information.

It’s about emotion.

So if your onboarding still feels like some admin task from hell, just remember this:

People don’t remember how you start working.

They remember how you made them feel when they started.

Only to realize at midnight that I’d achieved absolutely nothing.

All my emails are answered.

Slack notifications cleared.

My calendar is jam-packed with meetings

But progress is... almost nonexistant.

And here’s the truth nobody says out loud:

Being busy feels like progress. But it’s the most addictive drug killing B2B founders and agency owners right now.

I was really hooked at first.

I told myself:

“If I just work harder… if I just do more, then things will finally move forward.”
 
But all I did was pile more bricks on a foundation that was already cracked.

Then one Tuesday night, I snapped.
 
I decided to delete 90% of my to-do list.

And I built a system I call The 1% Domino Rule

Here’s how it works:

Instead of doing 100 tasks a day, I do ONE task… but it’s the domino that knocks down all the others.

For example:

Instead of replying to 47 emails like I always do

I write ONE killer client case study → That one asset closed 3 deals for me

Suddenly I didn’t need 47 follow-ups.

Instead of planning content for 2 weeks

I create ONE viral pillar post → That single idea spawns 14 clips, 3 carousels, and 2 DMs that books calls.

And that’s when sh*t started moving forward.

Real clients. Revenue. Actual growth.

Not fake productivity.

Not dopamine busywork.

Just real results.

👉 So the secret isn’t doing more.
👉 It is finding the domino task that makes everything else irrelevant.

Once I mastered this, I stopped feeling busy and started feeling dangerous.
