My name is Abdul Mukati

I’ve been building in the product and software space for 15+ years.

I sold an outbound sequencer before Masterinbox.com before Smartlead , before Instantly.ai , before this category was hot.

I was actually a lemlist customer back in the day! 

I remember seeing Bethany Stachenfeld from Sendspark stating in 2019, probably expandi guys as well if I’m not mistaken and so many more of you I can’t recall and list! (I’m getting old) 

I’ve also built and sold in B2C as well scaling OEVO from 100 users to over 1 million.

As well as built numerous other niche B2B softwares

Most days, you’ll find me doing one of three things:

- As we grow fast, our ops, processes and systems should too! We are creating a combined FAQ that auto looks up when questions are asked in slack helping us field the first few if they are common enough. 

- An automated system for deeper dive follow up for support, as issues are raised, asking for details that matter helps not only customers get solutions faster, but it also helps our teams recreate and solve issues. 

- A new ticketing system is being created to help track, provide resolution times and give you line of sight so now agencies can give exact ETAs to their clients. 

- As we onboard our first CSM Harvey shared detailed insights that will help us navigate agency world a lot better.

From San Francisco to New York to the streets of DC, this journey has been about more than just building software. It’s been about solving a pain that every agency owner knows too well.

Aamir Bajwa and Sarmad Sandeelo 🥾 have been there since Masterinbox.com  was just a sketch on paper.

Growing fast almost killed us
Here is how:

1. Our inbound funnel is working
So we are making zero changes to this -> comment if you wanna know how we do this btw

As we bring on our first CSM the goal is to actually expand brand and add more content out into the LinkedIn universe and increase inbound even more.

2. If users grows too fast, product requests increase tremendously, we have to choose what we build. It becomes harder than ever to stay focused, say no, and keep an eye on the prize. 

We are working on keeping communication solid, but ensuring we stabilize the product even more so as usage spikes. New features mean less than things that should always work. 

3. After speaking with Harvey Le 🧲 we have decided to automate ticketing, support and go one level deeper in the support we provide to be even more hands on. This requires a lot more resources but you have to invest to get. 

4. Looking to complete the funnel as we bring in mailbox purchases right into the platform, you will soon be able to purchase domains, mailboxes within Masterinbox.com and not have to worry about connecting them, porting them etc 

Keeping things seamless is key for us and will help our agencies as well

5. Quality of life features vs huge massive updates, as we speak with more and more customers we realize we shifted from our vision in the early days of seamless quality of life to feature mongering, its time to shift right back to what poeple loved the most.  

6. Constantly changing pricing, I speak with Stuart Brent about this a lot for his software saasyDB and its no different for us, we change pricing every 30 days almost, plans shift pricing increases, this does create a vacuum where they are some people and agencies who get prices out. 

7. Our focus is higher than ever now on never missing a reply, as we scale this becomes harder and harder and I think there is work to be done always to ensure this remains true. We currently process replies usually within 120 seconds, but we notice that users have automations and flows that we need to equip and ensure never break. 

8. Adam Robinson helped us understand that we should focus on helping agencies never miss a reply, and Enzo Carasso 🧲 at scultp made us think even bigger, we used to service reply to meeting but now we are taking this a bit further to reply to revenue. 

This changes everything for whats to come at Master Inbox as we help agencies reply faster, close more effectively and increase client retention. 

9. If you are an agency who has spoken with us on a call before and took x amount of days to decide but pricing increased in the meantime, we were honoring older pricing, however, now all new pricing will go into immediate effect for all new customers. All our older customers get grandfathered in always!

10. if you are doing outbound email, linkedin, both, across any sequencer and have not upgraded your inbox, you are missing replies!

Just did a demo call with no demo
New prospect and then my laptop completely froze.

No screen share. No product walkthrough. Just… nothing.

So I did what any founder with 8 more calls that night and a frozen laptop would do: I grabbed my phone, took a breath, and told the story instead.

I walked them through the product without ever showing it.
Described how it works. Who it helps. Why it matters. Painted the picture, pixel by pixel.

Was it ideal? Absolutely not.

But something surprising happened: they got it. The call became less of a “demo” and more of a conversation. We qualified fit. Talked through their workflows. Turns out, they run multiple sequencers and are bleeding replies across LinkedIn and email.

Today is Partnerships Day.

I had some incredible convos as SaaStock and walked away with us looking into FullEnrich powering phone number enrichment and Optik AI going live soon with our embedded inbox experience.

But more than that:

This was a reminder of how fast things move when people actually meet face to face.

I kept joking that today was so productive, I might just skip tomorrow and fly home.

I won’t. But the energy was that good.

Every time I shared our pitch

I got the same reaction and Ciaran Ryan  can attest to this, people kept saying:

Crazy and great place to be as a company. 

We got so much love and support from Clay's #Sculpt as well as the side event hosted by Harris Kenny aka the outbound invitational that ROI on other events seem terrible in comparison. 

1. Our ICP will mostly NOT be at Web summit lisbon, if your ideal customers are also not there, why would you go? You shouldnt!

2. We will attract the wrong type of customers, those who want to move from superhuman, and are founders not agencies, no GTM or sales teams = not a good fit. 

3. More convos with random "interested" people VS actual conversations with customers who want to onboard NOW and have a direct pain of missed replies. 

4. Why spend more money to double down on a mistake, we paid for the booth, why pay for travel food and housing, we don't have VC money and even if we did we would still make this call. Money is money!

5. We probably wont be meeting current customers, I travel personally to meet customers in person, it makes travel meaningful for me, purposeful, Italy with Matteo Fois and Alfredo Talib📐 probably comes before Lisbon at this point lol

So if you are looking at events: 

1. Its not the money cost that matters, its the time cost, opportunity cost that matters more. 

2. only go if your current or future customers will be there

3. if its cheap, close by, sure go, make content use that content push your brand. 

4. Focus on customers, day in and day out, this is the ONLY way to win!
