I got fired after my first ecom copywriting gig. Yup. About one year ago, I landed a remote role with an ecommerce agency in Lithuania. Three promo emails in, I got fired. Why? • My “native” English wasn’t native enough • My copy felt average • I was writing aggressive DR-style in a space that didn’t need it Bottom line? I had zero clue how e-commerce copywriting actually worked. But I didn’t sulk. I studied. Practiced. Messed up. Learned. And did it again. Fast forward one year... • I've written 250+ ecom emails • Studied 300+ emails across core flows • Reverse-engineered dozens (probably over 100 at this point) of high-performing brands And I’m still going: building, learning, still obsessed. Honestly, I’m not some expert. But I’m no longer the clueless newbie who got fired over a 10% off promo.
