Alex is focused on driving the Agency's transformation agenda, to optimise the delivery of brand and communications effectiveness for businesses, whilst leveraging the Agency's humanistic approach to branding. He brings >17 years of experience in brand and communications strategy, applied across Client, Creative, Media and Consulting engagements (Digi, DDB, M&C Saatchi, Mindshare Group, Renoir Consulting). Alex has been recognised as Campaign Asia-Pacific's 40 Under 40 - the only Malaysian to be added onto the list, in 2022. Within that same year, NagaDDB Tribal was recognised as the 2022 Agency of the Year, at the Kancil Awards - Malaysia's largest, most prestigious advertising awards competition - for the second consecutive term. Prior to that, Alex was part of the team recognised as Campaign's Southeast Asia New Business Development Team of the Year and shortlisted as Southeast Asia Brand/Strategy Planner of the Year. As a certified Performance Coach, Alex is constantly exploring how strategy - beyond being a department - can scale as an agency/organisational skill-set. And in line with his belief that the most powerful brands are experiences, Alex has obtained certifications in Design Practice for Business from Delft University, Netherlands and Transmedia Storytelling from the University of New South Wales, Australia. To contribute towards the next generation of Strategists and strategic work, he has volunteered time and given guest lectures at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TARUMT); is an Industry Advisor to UTAR; has judged industry work at the Effies and student work at corporate/industry training programs like Fasttrack and the Axiata Young Talent Programme (AYTP), and remains a mentor at the 30 Minute University of Planning.
