Project Financial Analyst III

HNTB

• Responsible for financial and contract administration duties in support of HNTB Corporation project management practices. Interact with Project Managers, Engineers, Business Manager, Office Leader (POA), Sub-contractors, Federal and State Agencies in a proactive manner to determine what routine issues affecting project management need to be addressed. Examples include, budgeting, job costs, contract compliance, writing and reviewing compensation clauses, contracting, payment terms, verification of overhead rates, as well as confirming labor and expense rates are correct.
• Monitoring and reporting of job budgets and costs, labor charges, expense detail, work plans, in addition to project schedules, ranging from $5,000 to $22 million.
• Accurately reporting earnings by calculating the projects Gross Revenue, Net Earnings, Earning Ratio, Gross Profit Margin, Lost Earnings, and any Delinquent Billings all within the appropriate deadlines. 
• Assist in tracking, monitoring and reporting on sub-consultant agreements, insurance, small business reporting information and or other items required by the contract.
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with sub-consultants and other vendors.
• Track and approve subcontractor invoices as related to the contract.
• Support Cash Management by ensuring accuracy of monthly client billing which requires identifying and resolving billing and revenue differences. Contribute in developing a plan to resolve AR  balances by participating in monthly accounts receivable and retainage reserve processes and analysis.

Project Analyst II

• Drive process to ensure completion of project invoicing and receivables, third party vendor billing and payments as well as monitoring the overall investigator fees budget for assigned projects including ensuring appropriate sign-off from Project Leader. 
• Develop actual/forecasts versus the budget in terms of both professional fees and pass through expenses (3rd party vendor costs, investigator fees, travel expenses, etc.). Review and discuss with project team. 
• Complete month end responsibilities including revenue recognition and forecasts, variance analysis, SOX compliance tasks, PERFORM updates, low multiple analysis, desktop reviews and any reporting needs as required. 
• Review variances identified by SOX controls and escalate to Project Leader; Provide financial analysis of revenues & costs (actual & forecast) and recommend actions to address variances. 
• Provide assistance in the development and distribution of consolidated worldwide monthly reports detailing the financial status of assigned projects and/or programs. 
• Assist in the development of financial project metrics, review and finalize project metrics in cooperation with Project Leader in line with PAREXEL and client requirements; Provide financial tracking and maintenance support to the Project Leader. 
• Responsible for the validation and accurate loading of the pricing tool to the financial system 
• Conduct project close out analysis and reconcile all budgets. 
• Conduct analysis of deferred and unbilled balances on studies including advising on bad debt provision.
