I'm Achraf, a results-oriented data engineer with a relentless passion for all things data. I'm on a mission to create solutions with real-world impact by leveraging the power of technology. After high-school, I started my engineering studies in the fields of Big Data and Information Systems in order to delve deeper into data and hone my skills. I was able to learn and work with different technologies, languages and frameworks which I validated through exciting projects. Alongside academic excellence, I maintained an active extra-curricular life on campus. In a quest to expand my horizons and gain a global perspective, I eagerly embraced non-tech roles and internships with international companies alongside my studies. Ultimately, I was able to acquire experience and improve my knowledge in project management, sales, business development and growth-hacking. This granted me versatility, business acumen and a big-picture vision that enable me to define the ideal outcomes of any project I am involved in and deliver them to the highest standards. One of my most recent achievements was winning the #1 prize of the African Fintech Hackathon organized by Mastercard x UM6P and the #2 prize in the Mediterranean Smart Cities Hackathon at ENS Martil. I was also selected among the top 40 Moroccan IT talents by Huawei in 2023, leading to my participation in the 'Seeds For The Future' program in which my team and I clinched the #1 position in the 'Tech4Good' competition, surpassing six other teams from Morocco and Egypt. Currently, I'm expanding my knowledge in the Ops and Cloud domains to complement my data tech stack. I'm also actively working on applying GPT-4 and other LLMs in various domains and use-cases.
