* Managed NERC CIP regulatory compliance for 450 devices with zero audit findings.
* Led team through Agile and ServiceNow service catalog transformations.
* Ensured 100% security patch compliance for hundreds of responsible systems.
* Managed incident, change and knowledge management for responsible services using ITIL best practices and human performance tools.
* Established $6.5M Security Infrastructure program for inclusion in annual project portfolio prioritization, funding and execution.

* Performed functional analysis and business unit reorganization strategy (20 managers and 200 front-line employees) resulting in streamlined engineering and operations units.
* Successfully managed $1.5M O&M department budget with 5% variance.
* Managed enterprise storage systems totaling 2 petabytes.

Manager, Platform and Automation Engineering

Service owner for Compute Engineering, including all physical and virtual servers and related infrastructure. Introduced automation and infrastructure as code (vRealize Automation and Chef), which integrated automated virtual machine provisioning with ties to CMDB for lifecycle management.

* Sponsored and successfully managed $5M CAPEX in must-achieve Compute Infrastructure projects, including Windows Server Obsolescence, VDI Uplift, Automation Tools Upgrade and Compute Reliability.
* Responsible for delivery of hundreds of physical and virtual servers and underlying compute infrastructure in support of dozens of must-achieve projects.
* Refined infrastructure work intake model for ease of use, improved delivery times and increased customer satisfaction.
* Participated and led cross-functional “tiger teams” for investigation and resolution of critical system degradations and outages.
* Provided management coordination and oversight for 50% data center consolidation without compute, storage or network service interruption.

Performed a variety of progressive IT engineering roles including software distribution, Windows XP/7/10 migration and Windows Server obsolescence projects. Continually exceeded financial charging targets (OM vs CAPEX). Authored knowledge base articles and contributed to long-range forecast and technical roadmaps. Was assigned special projects due to technical acumen and soft skills. Helped implement migration from traditional to converged infrastructure (FlexPod) and explosive growth of virtual server footprint (+400% in three years). Led technical engineering team in manager’s absence, including presentation to C-suite.

Maintained and improved the Time & Labor component of PeopleSoft HCM v8.9 for Payroll. Documented and maintained Payroll information with respect to SOX compliance and business continuity. Worked with key departments to identify, plan and implement Payroll improvements.  Successfully managed various projects including online W-2 processing, annual benchmarking study and formalization of year-end Time & Labor processing documentation.

Business Technology Integrator II

Provided leadership/focal-point role for 24x7 steady-state support team, supporting diverse, global, customers in Windows-based server and groupware (Microsoft Exchange) environments.  Assisted in transition of new customer accounts across North America, including performing due diligence, gap analysis and provided recommendations to respective project offices. Provided level 2/3 support for both Windows and Exchange environments.  Evaluated, planned and implemented system improvements to corporate e-mail environments. Documented processes and standards related to both acquisition and support. Collected and analyzed system information and provided recommendations for improvements. Acted as technical liaison between technical staff and external customers. Supported customers included a range of industries, as well as company size (up to 30,000 users in 35 sites). Responsible for backup and restore functions in a Windows Server environment. Promoted to Advisory Role May 2002, leading a group of five people, planning coverage schedules and work assignments, while maintaining expected workload. Later transitioned into the tracking, maintenance and disposal of equipment leases for 4,000 physical assets (IBM at American Express).
