Many great coaches, instructors and family sacrificed so that I could enjoy the great world of aquatic sports from competitive swimming, water polo, diving, canoeing, and more. There's more to be done to ensure that my community becomes better informed about water safety, swimming and other aquatic activities. Check out the new, Long Bridge Aquatics Center! Governor's Schools give gifted students academic and visual and performing arts opportunities beyond those normally available in the students' home schools. Students are able to focus on a specific area of intellectual or artistic strength and interest and to study in a way that best suits the gifted learner's needs.
The Virginia Governor's School Program has been designed to assist divisions as they meet the needs of a small population of students whose learning levels are remarkably different from their age-level peers. The foundation of the Virginia Governor's School Program centers on best practices in the field of gifted education and the presentation of advanced content to able learners.

Collaborated with thousands of hard-working, language educators K-16 in the DC/MD/VA area in producing two professional conferences annually.
Advanced my knowledge of the ins and outs of local language associations with the assistance of local leadership from Northern Virginia Community College, MERLOT creator, ACTFL Board Member -Dr. Laura Franklin.

Facilitated transition to portfolio performance assessment program at a Coalition of Essential Schools high school with Mr. William Ling, principal of Manhattan International High School.
