As a key member of the management team during the scale-up phase, I played a critical role in driving substantial ARR growth in FY 23/24. I led the global Business Development team with a hands-on, player-coach approach, focusing on enterprise organisations across Travel, Gaming & Gambling, and Retail sectors. 

My success in this role was anchored in agility and a data-driven mindset, where I continuously assessed and refined our outbound strategy to achieve optimal results. This involved evaluating and optimising our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), account mapping, targeting personas, and crafting effective messaging. I worked closely with cross-functional teams, collaborating with sales, marketing, product, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and deliver a cohesive go-to-market approach. I consistently demonstrated the ability to work proactively and strategically across all business functions to meet and exceed targets.

**Unbabel acquired Lingo24 in December 2021 

As the leader of a global team of 13 BDRs (8 direct, 5 indirect), I oversaw the full spectrum of recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development, ensuring both individual and team KPIs were consistently met or exceeded. My team played a critical role in generating high-quality outbound opportunities (80%) and qualifying inbound leads (20%), regularly surpassing pipeline targets and delivering qualified prospects to the global sales team.

Through personalised 1:1 coaching, structured training, and development programs, I fostered a culture of continuous growth, positioning team members for future success both within the organisation and beyond. 

Leveraging data-driven insights, I tracked performance metrics and provided senior sales leadership with actionable recommendations that optimised team efficiency.

I worked closely with Marketing and Enablement to develop regionally tailored messaging that strengthened outbound efforts, while ensuring tight alignment with senior Sales leadership to meet ambitious pipeline goals. By focusing on operational excellence, I optimised multi-channel prospecting strategies and monitored productivity using platforms like Salesforce, Gong, Clari, Vidyard, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

I successfully built and scaled a high-performing business development team from the ground up. Through personalised 1:1 coaching and a hands-on, player-coach approach, I fostered a culture of continuous learning and development, driving exceptional team performance.

Leveraging data-driven insights, I meticulously tracked performance metrics and provided actionable recommendations to senior leadership, optimising team efficiency and effectiveness. My team played a crucial role in generating high-quality outbound opportunities (70%) and qualifying inbound leads (30%), consistently exceeding pipeline targets and delivering qualified prospects to the global sales team.

Collaborating closely with Marketing, I developed regionally tailored messaging that enhanced our outbound efforts and ensured alignment with senior leadership to meet ambitious pipeline goals. By focusing on operational excellence, I optimised multi-channel prospecting strategies and closely monitored productivity across cold calls, email outreach, and social selling, resulting in a streamlined and highly effective business development operation.

In this role, I focused on managing a portfolio of 5 high-profile enterprise accounts (50%) while concurrently driving new enterprise opportunities (50%). My primary goal was to generate and close new business, helping organisations enhance their global image and achieve international growth through strategic language solutions. I worked closely with clients to understand their key goals and strategic vision, offering tailored solutions that aligned with their long-term objectives. This position allowed me to leverage my expertise in account management and business development to deliver value-driven outcomes and foster strong global relationships.

Working with global organisations to enhance their international presence and achieve growth through language solutions. I managed over 30 accounts spanning mid-market and enterprise sectors, including industries such as retail, logistics, health and wellbeing, financial services, technology, life sciences, market research, manufacturing, and software development.

I supported clients on a day-to-day basis, gaining a deep understanding of their key goals, objectives, and strategic vision. Operating with a consultative approach, I proactively offered tailored solutions, including the integration of cutting-edge AI translation technology, helping clients navigate the complexities of global expansion and communication.

I successfully managed a portfolio of over 50 accounts across diverse industries, including travel, financial services, legal, manufacturing, education, agribusiness and retail. My primary focus was to help clients enhance their financial operations and achieve strategic growth by fostering strong, collaborative relationships. 

With a deep understanding of industry trends and technical solutions, I enabled clients to streamline critical processes in areas such as B2B payments and expense and travel management. My consultative approach and strategic insight was instrumental in delivering value-driven solutions that aligned with my clients long-term goals, ensuring sustainable success.
