Claims management is set of various Microservices and Claims App which is used by associates in Walmart stores to process the items. Any item that leaves the store without a customer purchasing it goes through Claims in the backroom. Some reasons an item might pass through claims are that it was returned defective by a customer, it is overstock leaving the store, it is being recalled, store neglect caused the product to be damaged, and many more reasons. The claims app helps associates decide how an item that can't be sold normally should leave the store.

I have been responsible for managing the SDLC for Claims applications as given below :

1.	Disposition service which provides dispositions for an item which needs to be processed. It uses multiple downstream services as given below to fetch the information and feeds this information to rules engine which determines the most favorable disposition for an item:
	Vendor Agreement service
	Item query service
	Associate service
	Store Service
	Markdown service
2.	Claims service which is used to process claims filed with return center or supplier.
3.	Donation service which processes the items which are to be donated
4.	Disposal service which processes the items which are to be disposed. 
5.	MTR (Merchandise Transfer Record) service which processes the items which need to be transferred from Walmart Store to another Store or Distribution Center

Roles and Responsibilities:
•	Requirement analysis of business requirements
•	Create Software Architecture Document, High Level and Low Level Design document, Non-functional requirements for the project.
•	Involved in production of detailed functional design documents to meet customer requirements.
•	Create User acceptance plan and execution of the same.
•	Create Performance test plan.
•	Define performance requirements for applications
•	Involved in production of technical specification for development and integration requirements.
•	Review design documents for services such as Service Design Document, Service physical Document and define Service SLAs in Non-functional requirements.
•	Collect and Provide estimates for the requirements.
•	Mentor and train project team members on the Solution details for a smoother execution.
•	Responding to team’s and Customer’s technical queries.
•	Ensure quality deliverables.
•	Regular monitoring of production system.
•	Debugging and fixing critical production issues.
•	Data Clean up and configurations for new customers.
•	Automation of various installation and deployment process.
•	Managing production cut overs. This includes notifications, deployment, testing etc. 
•	Working with development team to prioritize production issues.
•	Pre-qualification of production releases.  
•	Involved in training and hiring process for organization

Subscription manager is used to manage the orders and subscriptions.

Ju Access Service :

Ju Access service is a transport service which takes care of service provisioning. Below are various functions performed by Ju Access Service:

1.	Order Capture for transport orders.
2.	Determination of network configuration and service configuration for terminals.
3.	Registration of terminal
4.	Activation of terminals at NMS.
5.	Service Upgrades for terminals
6.	Equipment swap
7.	Termination

•	Debugging and fixing production issues as per the SLA.
•	Helping and co-ordination with the team members for fixing critical issues.
•	Travel to Maryland, US for resolving technical issues at client side.

The Internet Applications Group is engaged in developing applications to be used over Spaceway – a broadband satellite network being developed by Hughes Network System. This includes development of services and applications to manage various Enterprises, Enterprise Users and their billing and subscription management activities. Services offered by spaceway can be categorized on the basis of customer’s network configuration which is as follows:
•	Basic Internet Access Service. (BIAS).
•	Frame plus Service (FR+) – Hub and spoke network 
•	IP plus service (IP+) – Mesh network
•	FR+ with BIAS
•	IP+ with BIAS
•	Private IP.
