I'm pretty confident you can sum-up 90% of who I am in three words: Catalyst. Teacher. Friend. These three words really nail how I approach my work, my relationships, and my faith. Step 1 - Catalyst - Get them going! Whether it is jump starting people or helping launch some new venture, I thrive when I am able to serve as a catalyst for friends, family, colleagues, clients, and even the occasional stranger to help them move from point A to point B. In other words, "If you need me to just listen, please lead with that before we start talking", otherwise you will get concrete next steps and motivation for what to do next! Step 2 - Teacher - Equip them to keep going! You will find me at my most comfortable when I am able to live out my years of experience in the classroom, pulpit, and facilitation of workshops to teach others the skills they need to be equipped for the next step in their journey. Gaining knowledge is easy, but mastering the concepts and allowing it to change your behavior is hard. Good teachers help you accomplish the hard stuff. Step 3 - Friend - Don't let them go alone! I am quick to fandom for those I meet and I truly believe we could all benefit from having more fans of us personally and professionally. We all need someone to vent to, someone who sees us for who we are, and someone who can offer advice that is covered in genuine care for our well-being. Need someone in your corner to cheer you on and hold you accountable? Then just find a really good friend and I am always open to being that person!
