Building Mogra's strategic storytelling function to turn transformation stories into life-changing resources. I joined Mogra Children Centre in March 2025 to fill a critical gap. For 26 years, incredible transformations in child rescue were happening, but no one was systematically capturing and leveraging these stories for sustainable funding. As our Communications & Fundraising Specialist, I'm architecting every narrative to serve one purpose - generating resources to rescue Kenya's most vulnerable children. What story-driven fundraising means: When a child arrives in crisis, I'm already thinking: "How will this transformation journey inspire someone to fund the next rescue?" Every story I craft, donor conversation I nurture, and grant proposal I write flows toward ensuring we never turn a child away due to lack of resources. My integrated approach: šŸŽÆ Strategic storytelling that bridges authentic transformation with sustainable funding šŸ“– Dignity-first narratives that respect children's privacy while showcasing genuine impact šŸŒ Cultural bridge-building between local Kenyan community voices and international donor perspectives šŸ’” Multi-platform strategy from WhatsApp updates to foundation proposals šŸ¤ Relationship-centred funding where supporters become genuine mission partners The legacy I'm helping scale: Mama Hannah founded Mogra in 1998 when she noticed school children had nowhere safe to sleep. Her response - building a dormitory behind her shop - evolved into 26 years of proven rescue impact. My role ensures this legacy continues by making the world understand what's possible when a community never gives up on a child. Current focus: - Developing campaigns that turn individual stories into sustainable revenue streams - Building Kenya's first ethical framework for child welfare storytelling - Establishing corporate partnerships rooted in genuine community investment - Creating grant strategies aligned with long-term organisational sustainability Let's connect if you're: - Nonprofit professionals pioneering ethical storytelling for real impact - Potential partners interested in community-led child rescue solutions - Foundation officers seeking authentic East African child welfare investments - Media contacts exploring stories of transformation and community resilience
