Now that the team at Disruptive Downhole Technologies is running the company I'm able to pursue my passions & help support others while doing so. The reason for me leaving was strategic and always part of our original business plan.  

It's exciting to start a business with a patent and a prayer and see it hold up during an oil crash and COVID, not only survive but thrive, even through all the learnings that comes with new technology.

Did you know DDT really started out with a patent and a prayer? After being let go 2016 I was laying in bed, neither awake or asleep, and this idea popped up in my head!

I called up Steve my favorite patent attorney, and told him what I dreamed. Even drew it up on a practical napkin so he'd have something more descriptive. He came back and said there's nothing like it in the patent system.  He didn't even charge me, very nice man!

So here I am with a great idea and it was time to decide, get another job or go 100% after this.  That's where the prayer came in, during my prayer a man's name popped up in my head. Looked in my phone, and it was a guy I met 12 years prior at a lunch and learn.

Go to meet him and say, "Do you remember me from 12 years ago?", he laughs, sorry I don't, but is your dad Bob Crow? My dad lived in Dallas, this guy's in Houston??

OK so the back story is my dad passed away 2013, in the span of 3 months I lost my dad, my job, my marriage, as she didn't support me while he was dying, so I divorced her, she kicked me out of her house and all my friends ghosted me. God was closing doors that needed closing.  

So here I am with this guy I met 12 yrs ago for free pizza and he begins to tell me a story of a time 20 years back where my dad stood up for his company in front of the supply chain executives where he worked. He goes on to say he felt like the success of his company was impart due to what my dad had done long ago. Wow, that was the board upside my head to go for it and the rest is history.

Leveraging years of engineering expertise, I spent 18 months in consultancy to self-fund a vision: a groundbreaking completion system designed to revolutionize the frac industry. 

This period of bootstrapping was instrumental in shaping the early contours of Disruptive Downhole Technologies (DDT). 

With a proven concept, I successfully secured a significant investment, exchanging equity for the capital needed to catapult DDT from a promising startup to a disruptive force in the oil and gas sector.

Over half a decade, I've led a nimble but highly effective team, focusing on both innovation and execution. We've secured multiple patents and have our state-of-the-art equipment operational in the fields of major industry players. 

The journey underscores the power of blending engineering acumen with entrepreneurial spirit, creating a dynamic entity capable of reshaping an established market.

We volunteer our time and finances to help keep pastoral couples and their congregation stay strong, which in turn helps the community and those surrounding by it stay strong as well.

Vision : Help pastoral couples discover and experience spiritual rest.

Mission : The Juniper Tree Experience exists to refresh pastoral couples through an extended stay at one of our retreat sites for spiritual rest, physical recreation, mental reflection and ministry re-engagement.

I'm also the primary point of contact for all technical sales support in the western region and responsible for interfacing between Product Line and Support Services for all areas across the region and globally.

• Lead a multimillion dollar system integration test for large oil company
• Organized 5 human resource groups to bring on 25+ technical employees in a quarter.

During my days as a talent manager leading an impressive team of 1200 engineers, managers, directors, and even a VP, I was at the helm of innovation and growth. My role wasn't merely about managing; it was about inspiring, nurturing, and propelling. I crafted technical and leadership competencies that went beyond the conventional, tailoring technical and managerial career paths that were both challenging and rewarding. Assessing performance management was more than ticking boxes; it was about recognizing talent, inspiring excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Succession management became an art form, ensuring a seamless transition of leadership without losing momentum. Leadership development was about more than mere skill-building; it was about igniting the spark, fueling ambition, and nurturing the passion that transforms good leaders into extraordinary ones. Provided innovative solutions for new products while working around published patents to develop tools that not only satisfied customers’ requirements, but also exceeded expectations.  Worked closely with attorneys to ensure patents would be difficult to circumvent in the future. Understood how to optimize project time to gain new product revenue.  Five patents applied on new project.

Sr. Project Engineer

Provided Engineering support for 5 districts in the Eastern US Land Area while coordinating FracPoint equipment out of our Kilgore district.  Leaded and coached shop and field personnel.

Sr. Region Engineer/FracPoint Operations Coordinator

Provide technical support to the Eastern Area districts for US land.  Handle special projects.  Assemble relevant engineering data sets and conduct root cause analysis to solve substantially difficult issues of complex nature and broad scope.  Advise sales personnel, customers and potential customers on technical issues.  Prepared and submitt bids to customers.

Eastern Area Region Engineer - U.S. Land

Leaded engineering team in new product development, research and proof of concept in innovative gravel pack and fiber optic tools, created budget and timing plans for integration of research projects into customer delivered tool, Project Development Gate meetings, and customer interaction.  This was done while I was lead on a high profile project that involved travel overseas.  Situational leadership skills were used to evaluate and manage my direct reports.

Lead Engineer responsibilities.  Develop new innovative technology through design and project implementation from start to finish.  Consulting with vendors on prototype designs.  Direct hands-on supervising in the manufacturing and testing of new equipment.  Design for manufacturability.  Writing documentation of test results.  Help implement SolidWorks and SmarTeam file management systems.  SolidWorks and SmarTeam department champion.  Inventor on patents:
