I am presently working as a Design Manager for Qatar Project Management Company-QPM, a leading project management firm in Qatar, Gulf and Africa. I joined the work of the Qatar Schools PPP Development Program- Package 1 Project. I am responsible for the managing and completion of the project on time within budget and within the scope of work. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Settle deadlines, Ensure resource availability and allocation. Manage and control changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Prepare reports for the client regarding status of the project. Delegate project tasks based on a staff members' strengths, skill sets and experience levels. I am always focusing on the conflict resolution management to avoid any conflict between parties during the design and construction process. Report and escalate issues to higher management and client as needed. I manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. In my practices, I always invest my skills and experience in mitigating and transferring contractual and commercial risks through identifying, evaluating, and reducing process. I always keen to develop a one team philosophy that is genuinely client-focused, to maximise our opportunities and to secure repeat business from clients. I involve in value engineering reviews, and I can motivate costs and budgets with the measuring of the works for valuations. I am closely working together with Design, Construction and Quality teams as part of an innovative and highly committed team, to manage the engineering aspects of the project design from outline design through to supervising and completion of construction. Besides that, I involve in approval process with the authorities. I am mostly responsible for the validation and monitoring of the implementation of all technical works of the project. In addition, I am handling the Design, Technical, Quality and Close out meetings with all stakeholders and responsible for the handing over process to the Independent Certifier team and FM team of the project. I create and maintain comprehensive project documentation especially the learned lessons. I maintain all QPM's projects at the highest standards of HSE, and green environment, matching and adhering to the rules and regulations. Take prompt and effective action and prepare any required preventive measures to avoid any unnecessary risks.
