I'm a structural engineer with several years of engineering work experience which includes a blend of: university teaching, software development, finite element methods development, stress analysis, CAE software support and training, structural design and Engineering Research. I started my career as a Lecturer involved in handling courses and research related to structural engineering. My fascination and interest towards the subjects of FEA, structural mechanics grew immensely during this period of 4+ years of University teaching. It was during 2007 that I felt my knowledge is being confined in my lecture notes and technical reports and I developed the urge to apply my skills and knowledge. This led me to join a software development company CADS Software - specialising in developing software for the construction industry. My move from academic teaching to the software industry was very smooth and during my tenure at CADS, I was involved in challenging projects as: FE methods development including complex FE methods for non-linear FEA, structural design calculations related to Eurocodes, stress analysis, providing technical support and training to the end-users of the software and above all : agile software development and management. My knowledge and understanding of FEA and software development grew immensely during my tenure of almost 5 years at CADS . In 2011, I started to work for Rolls-Royce in the Jet Engines Division. Again, my move this time from the Construction industry to Aerospace industry was extremely smooth and I worked on prestigious projects involving FE methods development, material modelling, contact analysis, software migration, etc. I worked in the Rotatives Department of Rolls-Royce from 2017-2020 and played the Lead / strategic role in establishing the Digital and Automation group within Rotatives and building up of the Stress Analysis and Life Estimation team capability in general. In October 2020, I joined Jaguar Land Rover in the Digital Engineering Capability team and worked within the CAE group, Systems Modelling group as an Area Product Owner (briefly for a few months) and remaining as Senior CAE Engineer and Methods Developer and Systems Modelling and Simulation Engineer until September 2022. In September 2022, I've joined the Digital Team at JLR as a Senior Data Engineer and I'm thoroughly enjoying my role. I've enjoyed every bit of my career until now and I do not differentiate between work and play because I love what I do. So, I’ve never really felt the need to maintain a work-life balance
